Time for new pool balls - Aramith Tournament Pro-Cup or Brunswick Centennial

Found this on the Aramith website. A few years old perhaps as I didn't see any mention of the new Duramith technology but definitely an interesting read. The Story Behind Aramith: https://aramith.com/story-behind-aramith/

Time for new pool balls - Aramith Tournament Pro-Cup or Brunswick Centennial

I do really like the look of the Centennials!! Looked at the Dynaspheres but I like the look of the Aramith's and the Brunswicks better.

Time for new pool balls - Aramith Tournament Pro-Cup or Brunswick Centennial

The Aramith balls that came with our table are now over 32 years old. They are in good condition but some yellowing is noticeable. The table is an 8-foot "oversized" Steepleton Dorsey with new Simonis 860HR Tournament Blue cloth. I am wanting to stay with the standard colors (purple 4 and 12...

Anyone using a Jacoby Black V4 shaft with a Cuetec butt??

I've been using a Jacoby Black V4 "seconds" shaft (29", approx. 12.25mm shaft) on an Adam butt and I really like how it feels. I also have a Cuetec SVB with the Cynergy 12.5mm shaft. I messaged Cuetec a few months ago asking if they might be making a 12.20-12.25mm Cynergy but the answer was no...

    leather case cleaning

For cleaning you might want to try ArmorAll Multi Purpose cleaner. Works well and doesn't leave an oily residue. After cleaning then maybe apply saddle soap or mink oil. I'd consider those products to be leather treatment/conditioners more than cleaners.

    Pool tables in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge??

I did a search but the most recent thread I found was from 2014. Anyone know of a place to play in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge that has Diamond tables?? I found a couple of places in Sevierville but we will be staying in Gatlinburg so not wanting to fight the traffic unless necessary.

Amazon Ball Cleaner - Any Good?

Don't know why there is a cost difference but be aware that the cleaning "circles" of the 22 ring plate only measure 2.20" or so (my cleaner came with both plates).

Amazon Ball Cleaner - Any Good?

To answer your question: I just measured one of the cleaning "circles" on the 16-ball (pool ball) cleaning plate. Using digital calipers I saw a max diameter of 2.348".

Amazon Ball Cleaner - Any Good?

I have the one with the Dr. Billiards name plate on it. A local business that has three 9-foot tables uses this model every day. I figured it would be fine for my personal use and I am pleased with it. I also use it for my brothers table, and recently took it to tbe local American Legion and...

    Pool Table Cover Recommendation?

I used a drape style cover for years. I swapped it out for one like the unit in the Amazon link and have been very pleased with it. As for wrinkles/fold marks, I don't know that you can get them out completely. I do think that the fold marks of the heavier "fitted" cover are not as noticeable...

    Carpet under pool table?

If you want to maximize your comfort then do pad and carpet both. Our basement floor is concrete. Get a good quality pad and a thick pile carpet. The carpet alone will offer some cushion but the combination of pad and carpet will give you the most cushion. Be advised that you will probably need...

    A Pool Player's Prayer

May I shoot well and accurately. May I be gracious in both my wins and my loses. May I remember to enjoy this great game for the skill involved and the pleasure that it brings.

Seller shipped cue via USPS on the 13th, but it is seemingly still not in transit. Just shows Accepted by USPS.

Does a standard letter have a tracking number assigned to it?? No. Does a package have a tracking number assigned to it?? Yes. Does the cost of shipping that item include the assigned tracking number?? Yes. The assigned tracking number is there so the package can be, tada, TRACKED!!! Not only...

Seller shipped cue via USPS on the 13th, but it is seemingly still not in transit. Just shows Accepted by USPS.

Hopefully you have it in hand by the end of today. Unfortunately the USPS has become so unreliable for shipping anything that even their "out for delivery" message can be meaningless. It is a sad reality to expect extended delays and poor tracking any time a shipper uses the USPS.

J&J pool cue case users - satin dividers or fiber tubes - preference?

Cost is a factor. I checked out the JB site and I like a couple of the cases in the Rugged line. I'll continue to look. Thanks for this info. The tubes do look more sturdy.

J&J pool cue case users - satin dividers or fiber tubes - preference?

I'm shopping for a new pool cue case. J&J has a couple of 4x6 models that look good. Some have satin dividers and some have lined fiber tubes. Any pros or cons of either style??
