This is a good example of “Just because you can do a thing doesn’t mean you should do that thing.”

Fedor & Kristina make the local news

That was awesome. That is a local tv station and I had no idea that they had ran this story. And so cool to learn that the two of them live in Southern Indiana.

Items taken to the pool hall getting weird.

Just started playing APA League a few weeks ago. One place we play has those crappy flexible plastic racks. Close to impossible to get a good rack. The next time we play there (tomorrow) I'm taking some templates. If my opponent doesn't want to use them then we won't, but wow those plastic racks...

    Heading to Louisville...

In Elizabethtown your options are somewhat limited. The American Legion at 1251 Ring Rd Elizabethtown, KY 42701. They have two 8-foot tables. Hot Shot Vapes and Smoke Shop 1006 N Mulberry St, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. They have two 9-foot tables (may have three 9-footers now as they were...

    Break Cue Tips

I had the phenolic tip that came on my budget break cue changed to an Ultraskin Heavy Hitter. I did not like the sound and feel of the phenolic type. For me the Ultraskin HH was a definite improvement.

Which rule book to go by?? BCA??

The "Bar Rule and Dirty Pool" thread has me wondering, is the Billiard Congress of America rule book (Billiards: The Official Rules and Records Book, 2021/2022 Edition) THE rule book to go by to learn the correct and proper rules of play?? Cuetec Avid: fiberglass still?!

I know that I'm pretty new to the forum so my opinion may not carry much weight but: I started playing again this year after not playing for quite a while. A bar box game here and there but for the past 3 years I really didn't play. When I started shopping for a new cue I was introduced to...

3-in-1 tip tools - a useful tool to have??

Have tried to do a search on this question but not having any luck. Are the 3-in-1 tip tools a good useful tip shaping/maintenance tool?? It would be nice to be able to carry a single tool instead of 2-3 different things. Something like this unit from Cuetec...

    LED lighting for bar table

Our lighting is fluorescent not LED in the set-up we have over our 8 ft. Steepleton. The stained wooden enclosure was made for us by a friend over 30 years ago. The lights are 8 foot bulbs. I originally thought of going with two 4 ft. units but decided to go with the single 8 foot system. The...

Considering a carbon fiber shaft for my Adam cue. Brands to look at??

Good questions regarding the weight and balance. I have been thinking about those very things. I would have to reweigh the butt and shaft as I have forgotten their individual weights, but if memory serves the combined total (currently) is 20.5 oz. A bit heavier than I expected. I would like to...

Forgot to ask: what is your opinion of the "hybrid taper" on the Defy shaft?? I looked for dimensions but couldn't find them.

I've looked at the McDermott Defy also. Forgot to put that in my original post.

Considering a carbon fiber shaft for my Adam cue. Brands to look at??

A huge thanks to everyone who is responding. Right now I am leaning towards the Cuetec, and they do offer a 12.5mm with the 5/16 x 18 joint.
