I play with kamui hard brown and g2 hard. They are a really firm tip but spin the cue ball very well. Basically I feel when ur trying to hit more center ball and not use english. But accidentally put alittle spin on the ball with a off center hit. But it doesn't spin off line all crazy...

I would buy the new shaft at a discount. Have them fix the other one for 50. Dollars or have them send the old shaft back to u. Amd have a local cue builder fix old shaft and play with both of them.
