    G10 pins and piloted joints?

I've seen smaller versions of pins made from G10. One that comes to mind is a 5/16-14 radial type pin that Paul Drexler had several years ago. Its a pretty cool pin.

Full splice vs. A-jointed cues vs. Full Core

...but they don't play like a Cog.

    Cue Repair Question

Yes, it can be fixed and the joint can be changed to whatever pin configuration you choose. Adding a SS collar will add weight no matter what but how much depends on the install method. A thin walled sleeve is 1/2 oz. The full collar will add a full ounce.

    YANG CASE~Poseidon

    I love the color combination.

Full splice vs. A-jointed cues vs. Full Core

Yes, there is but there isn't an easy, straight forward answer. -I do not think there is a playability advantage to any construction method. -I do think there is a difference in feel/feedback. That difference can be influenced or even negated by other variables such as joint collars...

Full splice vs. A-jointed cues vs. Full Core

My initial thoughts were similar to Bill's in the #9 post. Even given what he wrote, which I agree with, I still stick with my post that most people wouldn't know the difference in feel.

Full splice vs. A-jointed cues vs. Full Core

I'll go out on a limb and say that 95% of player would not feel the difference, if all else is equal.

How long does a customer have to pay?

Send a certified notification, then 30 days. Any deposits can and will be held until the cue is sold. Check with state and local laws, though.

    Resin Impregnation

Every time this topic comes up, we have a lot of opinions. Maybe this can put a stop to this bickering; OPTIONS: 1. Send it out to have it impregnated 2. Do it in-house. 3. Buy wood that is already impregnated. SIDE NOTES: A. Either way will work for this type of application (cues). B...

    Solvent to remove decals?

It was only half a joke! ;) I do see several decal cues with the BEM being a decal as well. They are very well done and fool a good many people. I just wanted to make sure.

    Common misconceptions

The dwell time on the cue ball between a hard tip and a soft tip is negligible. The spin is created by friction from the chalk so it could be that your soft tip is groomed differently than the hard tip. Harder tips take a little more work.

    Solvent to remove decals?

Make sure that the 'maple' is not a decal as well...

    Common misconceptions

One get on regular basis is for replacement butt caps. People think there are completely finished parts that are added onto the cue once it is done. I have to explain that most all cue parts are over-sized and turned along with the cue.

    Common misconceptions

I broke a few hearts with that one as well. I keep my mouth shut unless the owner specifically asks me. I hate that moment when their face goes white and blank. They often get embarrassed because they have been telling people, for years, that their cue is worth a fortune.

    Common misconceptions

I hear players when they look at cues and say "those are made by computers..." That is one of my favorites.

    Junior Pool

Yes, Dawn Hopkins. I talked to her about that a few years ago but that was before I had any involvement in the youth program. Maybe I'll reach out to her again.
