A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

Whatever one might have thought of Pierre’s Krom concept, the gentleman was undoubtedly a very experienced and respected designer. If I’m not mistaken he was at Aramith for some time before going it alone.

How do I send you the pound, Jack? PayPal?

A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

I’ll send Jack a pound. New pool ball concepts are always of interest to me. I’m particularly intrigued to see his design and follow the Kickstarter campaign. I’ll get my money’s worth in reading alone!

A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

A know a few gentlemen have highlighted parallels with the Bonus Ball venture, Jack, but wondered if you were also familiar with Pierre Deveaux’s Krom Premiere campaign on Kickstarter about ten years ago? From memory Pierre attracted many thousands of dollars worth of investment, but ultimately...

A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

If you have the time, Jack, there are many knowledgeable and interesting folks on this forum’s Pool Ball Collecting thread (players, collectors, billiard industry experts, etc) who have all offered their personal views on what does (or does not) make a good ball set. Might be worth a read, sir...

A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

Good afternoon, Jack. Here’s wishing you every possible fortune, dear fellow. Designing unique ball sets; overcoming inevitable problems during casting; lengthy delays and complicated logistics with foreign shipping and customs; before eventually delivering a desirable product to market is all...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Hello Mr X. Anything around $250 is a fair price for the two-inch version, dear chap, but they are only viable for play on an English pool table. The smaller balls wouldn’t be suitable at all for American tables… the cushion rubbers would be too high and pockets too big. Best wishes.

Excellent, Mr L. Sincere thanks for sharing those images, sir. I’m delighted that you enjoy the thread and find it informative. I’ve been busy recently in an endeavour to update and improve the provenance / exhibition cards to record my own collection for posterity… larger format with more...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Very good question, Mr X. Alas, I cannot offer a definitive answer as to why Poker Pool sets differ, dear fellow, other than to surmise various manufacturers have conflicting views about which game variations are more preferable. I don’t think there is a single correct form to be honest, sir…...

Hello, Laker. Welcome to the thread, sir, and sincere thanks for sharing your story and a photograph of the vintage ball. The clay era is not really my sphere of expertise, dear chap, but hopefully some of the other collectors will be able to chime in with accurate information. Best wishes.

Thank you, sir! I wish I could claim credit for planning that, dear chap, but it was entirely accidental. I probably shouldn’t reveal this because it might be deemed a profligate waste… but I had just added a slug to my coffee.

I stand to be corrected here because my memory plays up a bit, but I think this set is Kobe resin and was cast for Crown Games by the estimable Vigma of Hong Kong.

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Hello, Mr P. Welcome to the thread, sir. That particular poker set has had rather a turbulent history regards pricing and valuations. When the balls were first released I believe they were priced somewhere around the $200 range… and there they stayed for a couple of years, until someone...

Hello, everyone. Just took a very quick snap of something that deserves a far better backdrop and lighting, but thought you might appreciate it anyway. Behold the three known sizes of Aramith’s beautiful Striped Pokers… 2 inches, 2 1/8th inches and 2 1/4 inches. At the time of writing, I’m...
