    Favorite tips so far.

Never realized how many tips are on the market. Hard pressed Triangles for me. Never worry about layers separating with them. The tip and the shaft are the most important components for me. I just don't understand how you can switch out tips often and expect any consistency as a player. Same...

    Miscue with Taom v10 chalk

Pros and better players use more center ball than you think. You miscue because you come out of the shot. Lift up a little and the body follows. It's the tip. It's the chalk. It's always you. It's you when you play great and it's you when you play poorly. Oh wait. It's the shaft, no it's the...

    Joss HP shaft question

Just give the Joss shop one of your shafts with a taper that you like and they will duplicate it for you.

Perhaps You May Be Able To Recommend or Possibly Help Me?

I hope you don't take this the wrong way. I know you are an avid collector and enjoy the process of custom cue building and getting involved in the process and I also love many of your replies in the various forums on AZB but there is no substitute for pocketing balls. My point is that we may...

    Dime vs Nickel tip

Of course I chalk. It's part of my PSR. I rough my tip up with Willard's shaper before play too. But I never blame my tip for my miscuing. I miscue, not my tip especially if I keep my tip in optimal shape and chalked. The archer doesn't blame the arrow or his bow if he misses the target either...

    Dime vs Nickel tip

You are lifting up starting with your head. The sooner you stop blaming everything but yourself the sooner you will improve. Look on the bright side. You can blame yourself when you win too. The tip didn't make you win. You did.

    Dime vs Nickel tip

Tips don't miscue. Players miscue. They come out of their shots. A slight head lift too early will change your entire stoke. The body follows the head.

How to clean wood shaft after every use?

Stop worrying about your shaft and just play pool. Your shaft doesn't care about you or if you're stroking through the ball well.

How to clean wood shaft after every use?

Pretty hard to concentrate on your game, patterns and such if you are thinking about your shaft while shooting. Kidding not kidding. Perhaps people eat while playing and get stuff on their shafts. I dont know. I never clean my shafts. They're smooth as a baby's bottom, always. How do you get...

Littman Lights... are they worth it?

Hope you're well bud but try looking at the table not up at the lights. I think the lights do a great job illuminating the table.

How to clean wood shaft after every use?

Why clean your shaft at all? Paper towel up and down the shaft and then over tip and then back in the case. What are you doing to your shaft that you need to clean it?

Littman Lights... are they worth it?

Believe me, I am not a Preditor fan. I think they are more of a marketing company but their lights are amazing. I am sure they do not make the lights themselves but they are wonderful and add to the overall comfort of the room.

Littman Lights... are they worth it?

My poolroom uses Predator Arena lights. They are terrific. Check into them also. I like them better than Littman. They cast a better light to my mind.

    Filler Vs. Gorst

If it's a rotation game, 9ball or 10ball. Filler is damned surgeon at the table.

    Pool and Race

Sort of understand what you're saying. Greyhound busses and Centennials are both classics?

Took Greyhounds buses more years ago than I want to say.

    Pool and Race

Maybe. Don't spend much time in bus stations. Are you talking Greyhound bus stations? Are there bus stations anymore?

    Pool and Race

The poolroom just might be the most diverse community on earth. That's my experience anyhow. All in an enclosed space. Everyone gets along despite different personalities.

Can Anybody Make Me An Ebony/Bone Cue?

I believe mammoth tusks are available and legal and can be bought at jewelry shows. My son has a cue loaded with it. I will PM you.

    Jimmy Matz

Never forget the loss I took from Ace in a tournament. Didn't sleep for three days as it was on my mind. Had him down 6-2 in a race to 7 in a tournament and lost the match. Not a handicapped tournament. Still bothers me to this day. Some matches you never forget. Nobody was a match for Matz...
