Thx for the reply. In lean times such as now i think the players deserve some kind of compensation if they appear on the stream , a free meal , or a night at a hotel , especially if the streamer is charging to see the tape of the matches , either online or selling dvd's.

I have streamed thousands of hours of pool and much of it with no compensation and just laying out money every two years for equipment which thankfully in the past people contributed to. Now I generate some revenue which I take some of that money and upgrade after about 2 years or so. If an...

[I][and $3200 in green fees /I] I was lost at this . No it wasn't a WPA event , but what does the WPA provide for their sanctioning fee ?Do you know the overhead for a poolroom ? Did they break even ? What would be the motivation for someone to host a pool tournament but to make money.

I've not followed this closely but it seems these are 1 on 1 matches ,the players are getting a fee to play and it is a win win for all involved except for the fiction of the amount in the middle. If players really want to play for money they can do it without a camera there , so who approaches...
