What's the best rack for 14.1?

Wow! Very nice... I didn't really know what you were talking about, lol.

Price of Gas. etc. effecting your Pool Playing

You guys are all barking up the wrong tree. It is still a fact that 30 cents of real money buys a gallon of gas and gets you at least 3 federal reserve notes in change. A silver dime is worth at least $2.50 in federal reserve notes. Three silver dimes is $7.50 in federal reserve notes. The...

Price of Gas. etc. effecting your Pool Playing

How do you account for my post above? Three 1964 silver dimes (they were all silver then) can still buy a gallon of gas and you can get 3 federal reserve notes in change. The price of gas hasn't gone up, the value of federal reserve notes has gone down. The Federal Reserve System (central...

Price of Gas. etc. effecting your Pool Playing

The difference in the price of gas now compared to 1964 is that in 1964 you could buy a gallon of gas with three dimes and maybe get a few cents in change. Today you can buy a gallon of gas with those same three 1964 dimes and get 3 or 4 paper dollars in change. The price of gas has gone...

    Don't miss these.

I'm disappointed that the Rack Attack review with my friend Rodney Morris is giving misinformation. I patented the Rack-M-Rite Racking Template (tapping mat) system more than a decade ago. It was the first tight rack system that used the spacing of the indents to make all the balls "lean in...

Bad Blood 2 - The Pearl vs The Luuuv Sponge

Half the world being on a dangerous drug does not make it safe. Anti-depressants are very dangerous, and don't work as well as a placebo sugar pill.

Earl refused to be interviewed after the match.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but since you work in this field, I invite you to come to the NPR section of this forum and discuss the causes of vascular problems. I agree cigarette smoke is poison, but cholesterol cannot be blamed for heart disease which is caused largely by dehydration...

What's the best rack for 14.1?

A quote from Johnny Archer: "For straight pool, the balls have to be tapped."

What's the best rack for 14.1?

On a tapped table, the indentions made by tapping are sloped, and are very small, so a ball must be moving very slowly to be deflected and it must hit a very small target. With a foot spot you have a much longer edge that is not sloped and will easily deflect a slow rolling ball and is a bigger...

    European ChampionshipBranderburgo, Germany

Looks like they are still using the template tapped racking method that was first introduced here with my patented Rack-M-Rite Racking Template more than a decade ago. I still have a few available for 15$ with free shipping.

    Earl vs. Shane

I made some corrections to your post. JAM could possibly help a little more.

European Championships 2011 Jasmin again 14.1 champion

Do you know if the tables were tapped?
  13. D

What type of rack were Earl and Shane using?

On the Euro tour the tables are tapped using a template (you hold a ball on the template and tap it down a couple of times into the cloth using another ball) to get a consistently frozen rack. The template allows the tapping to place indentions slightly closer together than the balls can...

TAR/Jcin, pocket size on that 5x10?

If you look at the plastic pocket going down into the hole you can see the right side but not the left. I'm guessing if you center the camera and the balls in that picture the pocket will appear to be much more symmetrical.

What's the best rack for 14.1?

The "European way", is the American way. It was first used here in professional tournaments. It gives the smallest footprint, and is the least intrusive way to get a consistently frozen rack. It is called the Rack-M-Rite Racking Template. I invented it and I have never even been to Europe...

Darren Appleton's 14.1 game (patterns, shot choices, etc.)

I think most pros develop longer bridges for better control of stroke speed on all shots and also to be able to get extreme power with less effort when it is needed. And the longer bridge may not make for a straighter stroke, but it may actually help with aiming, especially as they get older...

    Managing lower back issues

The best single exercise imo (I do a whole lot more) for pool related back issues is to hang from a bar and pull your knees up to your chest repeatedly.

    Racking Templates

Thanks Joe! Happy New Year! I forgot to mention for those that don't know, I invented the tapping mat with my partner Dale Craig (mechanical engineer), and we own the patent. US Patent Number: US0D0433724 It was copied for use in Europe, but we are the original inventors - just...
