I heard this morning that JOB's Billiard Club had been sold. Does anyone know who bought it and if they are planning any changes?

    2 Rail Kicks

Bob is dead on in post #4. I tried this shot 20 times today. It cannot be hit without using around a half tip of right hand english. You would have to aim close to the pocket and will hit the point of the cushion on the end rail. On a billiard table it may be possible.

    Why use slate?

1/4 inch isn't heavy enough. 1/2 inch would actually be real close to the weight of 1 inch slate. The problem with any mild steel is its going to corrode slightly no matter what. Its just a matter of time. You could always try a stainless piece. A 4x8 half inch thick sheet will run you about...

    Why use slate?

They tried it around 150 years ago. Its still not a good idea. Besides the sound and rusting issues, check the prices on a one inch thick steel sheet large enough for a table bed.

    Titanic Thompson and Greenleaf

Here is another Titanic tale. A circuit riding pool player named Jim Buford had gained a considerable reputation in Joplin, Springfield, Carthage and Tulsa. He was an outstanding, but hardly great, pool player who well knew his own capabilities. He was careful never to over match himself...

    Hubert Cokes and Titanic Thompson

I found this story in one of my books and thought some of you would enjoy it. This took place in Evansville Illinois. Evansville was described as a sort of Disneyland for gamblers after the discovery of oil there. Always a pool player of some talent, Ti was no match for the premier players...

    For Sale 1972 George Balabushka

I'd like to see it myself. The main reason I believe he thought it was the real deal is he posted good pics on the a site where there would be very little chance of passing off a Palmer as a Bushka. If you wanted to pull this type of scam I couldn't think of a worse place to try.

    For Sale 1972 George Balabushka

Maybe his bill of sale came from a cue dealer. I'm sure he wouldent be the first person this has happened to.
