Predator Roadline LE 2 with extension

Bought this cue on here last year from this post: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=401065 314-2 shaft. Rolls great! Seller indicated the cue was refinished by Phillippi at which point the predator logo on the butt and the 38/100 indication was removed. Cue plays great and I...

    I need some ping...

Paul Dayton is currently building me a Brazilian Rosewood. Other than length, weight, and shaft diameters, I left everything to his discretion. no idea what he will do for ferrules, bumper, even rings, etc. I trust him, and can't wait to see what he comes up with  Thanks everyone for your...

    Grip/Stroke/Stance fundamentals suck

Drop - Personally I think sighting is the most important fundamental. Repeatedly getting your eyes into the exact position that lets YOU see the shot accurately is job #1. One you have that figured out, then being able to deliver the cue tip to the exact spot on the object ball is job #2. The...

    Jayson Shaw's playing 1-hole 7 ahead for 90k

Apparently there was some speculation in the poker world that Dippy was busto back in 2013. Obvs most smart poker players manage their image, trying to get an edge by making people think they have money when they dont or vice versa as it could change strategy at the table. Previously, he...

Cue Info Please Fake or Real??

Im like 80% sure I bought a red veneer sp with radial joint from a reputable source new, like 2011 timeframe. Sorry, cant remember the specifics though. Do you guys seriously believe there are knockoff predators? I wouldnt have imagined anyone would bother for 200-400$ cues.

    I need some ping...

Fair enough. Even if inwanted to explode the budget by 3x though, it diesnt solve the length problem. 60 inch scruggs are hard to find. Dont worry, though, Paul Dayton is on the case. Ill update in September with how it turned out.

    I need some ping...

Despite the snark, ill bite. I Will buy a Scruggs again someday, likely next year, but the one I want will cost 3-4x my current budget.

    I need some ping...

No offense intended! Please play devils advocate? I'm not looking for a ball-peen hammer here, but I think I have some room for improvement with speed control vs the slush-box cues I have been playing.

    I need some ping...

Hey guys, I need some guidance. I got to play with a metal jointed Scruggs for 15 mins about 20 years ago, and I have never forgotten the feel of that cue. I later bought a Scruggs Rambow SP, and while close, it just didn't have the same 'ping'. I thought a new Schon would get me close, and...

Advice for gambling with someone you don't know...

If this is the case then the stakes were probably just right. Ignore all of the bashers putting down the stakes you were playing at. They don't have to pay your rent. When your just learning to gamble the stakes should be enough to keep you interested but not enough to let it stress you out...

Advice for gambling with someone you don't know...

The guy could have decided it was worth the 25$ investment (after table time) to book a loser to you, in hopes of more action from you/friends later. I mean your posting on the internet about it, so if thats what he was doing, mission accomplished. Don't road players work a room/town for days to...

Help me pick a cue: Mezz, OB, Schon?

So confused. Hit with a schon today, also hit with a OB Classic + on my radial joint predator vs my 314-2. They all just felt solid. I could tell a difference, but it was not what I was expecting. Of course they were all unchalked so I couldn't really evaluate anything other than hit. I guess...

Places to play in the Phoenix and SF area

Man, the golden 8 ball was wild back in the late 80s. Good memories. This should have all the info you need for current places: http://www.billiardndartnews.com/

Refusing to adjust weight when you're ahead...bad form or not?

IMO, adjustment period should be set as part of the initial negotiation. If Im pretty confident on the game then say we play 2, 3, 5 whatever sets before we adjust. Playing a game where you think your getting the worst of it try to set the stipulation that you will adjust after 1 set. Of...

    Accu-Rack or Magic Rack?

When I asked which interfered less, I meant for when I am practicing at home. Although I have seen SVB leave them down the entire rack without needing too, and shooting a 9 ball over it in a tournament. He could have easily removed it, but didnt seem to care. Also, I know the accurack guys...

    Accu-Rack or Magic Rack?

Which, and why? Also, Im lazy. Which is less likely to interfere with shots if left on the table?
