Measles cueball vs Red Circle cueball weight differences

I know I'm a little late to the discussion, but I have weighed the aramith measle ball, the aramith red circle, and the centennial blue circle, all purchased new, and weighed new. All 3 were only 1 or 2 grams different in weight. 2 grams is about .07 oz. This surprised me a lot. I had always...

help me pick a break cue

I've tried many of the cues listed in the poll, I.E. Predator, Mezz, McDermott. By far, the one that impressed me the most was the OB Cue. I had not thought it would at first. My wife bought one last year at the 2011 Nationals, and I didn't want to get my break cue out, so I just used hers...

    What would you do?

It's not a common practice, but I will call the ball froze on myself, so my opponent will know. I also tell my opponent that I foul if they don't catch it. Winning by getting away with something isn't winning IMO.

    Ever been jarred before?

water intoxication? You stated you'd been drinking a lot of water. Is there the possibility of water intoxication? Yes.. I'm serious. It's when you consume too much water. May explain things. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/water-intoxication-symptoms.html

    Repeatable draw/follow?

Since your question addresses both draw and follow, this would be my suggestion, and why. Shooting the shot, that is straight in, with a normal pocketing speed. The same speed I would use if I were to shoot a regular stop shot. I would then adjust my tip position to give the desired action on...

    Which New Shaft

As I have not played with either the I2 or I3, I really can't comment on them. I have played with the others. First off.. do you like a stiffer hitting shaft or a softer hitting shaft? The Classic Pro and Predator Z2 will have a stiffer feeling hit. I personally think the Classic Pro has a...

    Reasons for stroke errors

Tightening the grip can certainly cause this. I may also be that your stance is a little off. Facing too much one way or the other can cause your finishing stroke to pull in or out. However, if you're thinking it's that you are tightening your grip/cocking your wrist, you may want to set up...

    1" longer Shaft

It all depends on the shaft. I have an OB Classic 30" and I love it. It's still a very stiff hitting shaft. It also plays much like the 29" one I demo'ed. If anything, I get just a little more action out of the 30" but no loss in control or feel. Now I have seen, and played with other 30"...

    What would you do here?

Play the one into the two, so it goes into the nine, and pretty much stays on the end rail. Cue ball goes across the table to sit between the first and second diamond, lower left pocket as you are looking at the table on your screen. Making this very hard to kick due to the 3 ball and the 9...

What are they doing when they lick

Try using a scrap of felt/table cloth. Works great. Been using a scrap of 860 simmonis for several years now (same piece, as it wears R E A L L Y well) and I do house cues for Rusty's Billiards in Arlington and Fort Worth, so it's be used thousands of times. Generates as much if not more heat...

OB Classic pro shaft vs Tiger X pro

As I have not tried the Tiger X, I really can't give a comparison. What I can say is how much I enjoy all of the OB Classic shafts. I have two OB Classics and an OB Classic Pro. One classic, and one classic pro are on Predator P2 butts, and they hit and feel great. I also have an OB...

    Bar table question...

From what I read, it's the power draw you're having issues with.. not regular draw shots. If this is correct, then, to me, from my experience, both personal and watching others, this is most commonly a mechanical flaw. In short, you're trying to really draw the ball, and may be lunging just...
