I just thought I would show some pics. of the table I'm currently building. I've built this from scratch with red oak and poplar. k66 rails with Titan cloth.(couldnt afford simmonis) leather drop pockets, MOP diamond inlays. Would like to here your thoughts and oppinions please. Thanks

That looks very good I can do the same but i didnt use any glue so I had to staple that much.. To be honest the only reason i have covered with no folds is due to the gentleman i do the rails for he likes the looks better on all his tables. it's deffinitly more work unfortunetly.

Exactly Cobra, you deffinitly should not level it with a regular level I would try to get a hold of a machinist level first and start there. Eliminate other possibilities after the table has been trued.

Heres some pics on how I cover valley table rails. The way I do it,there is no fold on the rail. Just curious how many other of you cover the rails this way. The reason I ask is because anywhere I seem to go the rails always have folds on the rails. I just think this looks a lot sharper plus no...

I would honestly explain the work involved in this perticular table and explain he needs new rubber and would not be worth his money to continue with that table, and I would not put my work on a table that have rails hard as a rock, there would be no satisfaction from either party.

I read a while ago about buffalo chalk and the person said it went on much better than master. has anyone heard of this chalk or maybe it was joke.
