It was a fun project and overall I'm happy with the outcome, the table plays beautifully and my game has improved substantially!

All steel components were stripped of their gold finish and sanded for a polished steel finish.

I never did post an update for this table, so here it goes. I had never disassembled and then reassembled a table before, I made sure to take photos of all table components and label them for correct position during reassembly. All hardware was also placed in bags with labels. At some point...

Thanks for your comments and advice, I have decided to keep the table and try my hand at snooker, sounds like it may be a lot of fun as well as improve my game. I'll let you know my thoughts once assembled.
