    Strangest rules you've ever seen?

Several years back I played in a local 9-ball league with numerous divisions and about 60 to 70 total teams. The rule was that if you used the cue ball to shoot in the 9-ball out of turn you lost the game. After it was explained to the league operator that this was just taking a deliberate...

Places to play in LANCASTER, PA

The D&D room is not closed. The old owner, Mickey Scott, retired and the new owner, Brian Walker, took over in November of 2012. It does have a new name. It is the Cue Factory. This is the closest room to Lancaster to the East.

SBE Greens Fees The event tables are open for the tournament play without any other fees. The tables in the practice/action area are $.25 per rack. The event tables also rent for the night after a certain time. I believe the fee is $10.00 for the entire night.

    Eight Ball Handicapping

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate the time you all took to answer. I'll pass these along to the room owner. Does anyone have any other suggestions? As with any handicapped league or tournament, it is tough to get and keep it as equitable as possible.

    Eight Ball Handicapping

The owner of a local room, who doesn't post here, is starting a handicapped eight ball singles league. We are exploring various methods of handicapping other than the usual race to a certain number of games and spotting of games on the wire. One suggestion was to have the stronger player spot...

    Tax On Tournament Winnings

Hopefully someone will know the definitive answer to this. I play in a decent sized league (over 150 teams) divided into two areas. There are 3 sessions per year and a tournament at the end of each session for each area for those teams who qualify from their division. The prize is $2,500 for...
