    Speed Control: The Secret Ingredient

while I forget about it too much for my own good, the secret of speed control is hugely influenced on how much energy is being transferred to object ball, for example, if you are striking 30 % of object ball, the cue ball will still be moving with the other 70% of energy. Jerry Briesath...

    Diamond pro cut

In my town there are no 9 footers so I have very little experience on them (maybe 30-40 games lifetime). I traveled a few hours away to a pool hall that had diamond table with pro cut pockets and all I can say is holy crap they are tough. I played in a small tourney and took third but only...

On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

I will see who is interested. There is also a pool hall in Duluth called The Break Room and they would be interested as well. Would you like them to contact you? What are your prices so I can let people know. If you want, you could e-mail me at rick_kallio@yahoo.com

    The Hustlers need your help!!!!!!!!!!

While I love this site and have for many years...I think people think AZBILLIARDS has more sway than it really does. I'm directing this more at the negative posters. Just because the show wasn't representative of what hard core pool fanatics want makes no difference to the network. In fact...

    Safeties

Very solid advice macguy. I agree with you. I was hoping for some diagrams of creative shots that I may not have seen before. My true hope is to get some pool talk going again instead of all the drama😃

    Frustration

I guessed I used the word great too loosely. My goal would be to be one of the best in state (wi) on a barbox ( no access to 9 footers). I too have a family and career that takes priority over pool. Just wish there was time enough for all goals

    Frustration

Anybody else get frustrated because they feel they could be a great player if they had the means to play/practice more often but you just don't have the time nor can you make the time?

When was the last time there was an American who won the world 9 ball championships?

It's totally the environment. For example the snooker vs pool argument. Not saying US would dominate but if there were equal amount of snooker tables in states and it was popular I can guarantee some Amerucans would make the tour

    Earl stance

My lesson was a group lesson before an exhibition. Didn't get a chance to pick his brain 😞

When was the last time there was an American who won the world 9 ball championships?

The truth of the matter is no country produces people genetically better at pool. It ebbs and flows. US was dominant for a while as were the Filipinos and so on. Of course countries where more people play or have sponsored training may have a distinct advantage

When was the last time there was an American who won the world 9 ball championships?

I called it trolling as SVB just went 2 and out in China open and there has been trolling on this site regarding his oversea results. OP poster also "innocently" asked if other countries were "always going to be better than USA". It was a good troll. 7.2 out of 10

    Earl stance

Recently I took a lesson from Earl. He was adamant about crouching low with need bend (I have a shoulder with stance w/ front leg bent more). He also said I have a "3 cushion" bridge and tried to show me his way. My conclusion was that it works for him, but I would need time I don't have to undo...
