Edu-ma-cate me a little here...... by taper roll, do you mean the ferrule/tip and joint don't lift, but you can see some variance or "runout" somewhere along the tapered portion of the shaft? I'm guessing while not optimal or desired, it isn't as detrimental to play as a warped joint? Nice cue...
