After taking the buttcap off this piece is what first comes out. Is this what I replace to add more weight? There seems to be another metal rod on the inside with the same Allenhead, but I cant loosen it by hand, possibly glued in?

That would be great if you did, or a point in the right direction for a Helmstetter list of cues or an old catalog. Have not been able to find one.
