ya of course. ive also used the slightly less tacky plain tan masking tape. ya i can imagine plumbers tape might be a little tricky to apply. and yes. roger that. do not want to damage my own, let alone a customers shaft.

yikes. not even to mask off up to the vault plate? id be hesitant to get even a drop of CA on the shaft. But i guess i could just use CA remover.
