    Where to place my table?

Your best bet is to place it on the right side of your diagram. Get your 5' distance off the wall, and you'll only be instructed by one post. It sucks, but it's manageable.

    Gold Crown IV Side Pocket

In the likely event that you aren't lucky enough to find someone who has a damaged set (like yourself), and would be willing to sell you what you need. You may be forced to buy an entire set, even if they are used.

Rhino Jump Cue vs. Cuetec Propel Jump Cue

Has anyone tried both, and can offer feedback? I watched Karl Boyes' video, comparing the Predator Air Rush vs. Cuetec Propel. From his feedback, I feel that I would prefer the Propel, as I am more of a dart stroke jumper. I already have a Gulyassy Reaper jump cue, which has served me quite...

    Table Cloth

HR is slightly faster than 860, which would be more ideal for a 10' table.

8' Home table used ($1500) buget

Olhausen with AccuFast cushions. The pockets have tough playing angles, but that's not terrible to address. In your budget (I assume that includes installation), Olhausen will be your best value. There are too many Brunswick models out there to simply say that Brunswick is the way to go. Sure...

Pocket pouches when putting on new cloth

I use a different installation procedure from what you are using, so I can't help very much with the dimensions that you referenced. I like to secure both sides of the cloth, before finishing the side pockets. It just makes it a bit easier to gauge the stretch into the pockets. Then, I will...

Pocket pouches when putting on new cloth

It looks like you might have enough for the side pockets, but you need to pull it into the pocket from the ends of the table. This will likely create a slight wrinkle or bubble in front of the side pocket. That should get you enough slack. Then, when you pull the cloth into the corner pockets...

Pocket pouches when putting on new cloth

Finish your side pockets, before stretching and securing the ends. That will take care of a lot of the streaking that you see at the side pockets, and it will also allow you enough slack to get the side pockets finished off cleanly. In regards to your corner pockets, it looks like you should...

My new project - Advice/Help needed

Simply swapping to Diamond cushions won't get you any noticeable increase in rebound speed.

    Brunswick Centennial

I do believe that most of the Gold Crown IV was made in Brazil, not China.

    Brunswick Centennial

From the opinion of this installer, you are spot on. By the way, I know that a number of table manufacturers moved operations to Vietnam, a few years ago. Of course, it was for cost savings. I'm fairly certain that Brunswick was one of them. I have installed quite a few of the latest...

BEST 7 FOOT TABLE FOR 4K OR LESS

There are a number of factors that determine how a table plays. When people say that they want their table to play like a Diamond, it could mean any number of things. It could be in terms of rail responsiveness, pocket difficulty, quiet ball roll, or perfectly level surface.... If you want all...

    Pocket accommodations

I've done the conversion. I also used a forstner bit. Though I drilled the hole out and installed a threaded insert, so that the pocket could be installed as intended, with a socket head cap screw. Here is a link to the finished product (though I do wish that I had trimmed the pockets a bit...

    8 ball break and scratch

8-ball rules are generally region specific, unless playing under the rules of a sanctioning body. I've always said that the 8 should not count on the break, win or lose. However, I have seen variations of this, including the rule where it doesn't count as a win, but does count as a loss...

Washing the cloth on the table

I used a Bissell Little Green, portable shampooer, with Bissell branded formula mixed with the water ratio specified on the bottle.

Mighty x drill leaving mark on cloth

What cloth do you have installed? What ball set are you using? How often do you polish the balls? What are you using for a polisher? What cleaner/wax are you using to clean the balls? All of these things will have an effect on cloth wear. If you are using a cheap polyester ball set, that's the...

Washing the cloth on the table

I don't know about beer stains, but the cloth was very dirty.... Tournament Blue cloth looks horrible after only a limited time, especially when installed in a busy commercial setting. After shampooing, it looked almost new, short of a few burn marks.
