    Looking for fiber glass tube...

You most likely will not find 1.25". most of it is metric and the closest I found was 30mm(1.181") on Ebay. I have not seen 31.75mm offered(1.25). You can use a small insert to adjust the size.. Realistically, if it tightens up on bumper, that 30 mm is fine.

    Shaft warped, what went wrong?

The facings and the insert mis-alignment were not issues of humidity. Contact maker and perhaps you can get some off on a new shaft.

Help me to identify the truth, Buddy Hall & Bludworth Cue

Bludworth made a line of Buddy Hall cues. Buddy got a cut of the sales money. Late 80's or early 90's. We had a pool hall in Alvin, Texas and Blud and Buddy dropped in on a 9 ball tournament night. House rules were "anybody can play". He won, naturally, and I told the other participants "Where...

    Eight Points All Different

I would venture to say that no one deliberately attempted to make all the points uneven. Perhaps someone's early attempt to build a cue with that many points.

Are Burl Slabs of Interest to Cue Makers

Google Burl wood for sale. Look at their prices. That should give you a starting point for pricing. Sometimes, a high price leaves you holding the wood. Make a nice profit and move on. JMO

    Richard Black Shop Robbed

The old shop, which he "donated" to his assistant with the provision that he could use anything when he needed to, was the one broken into. I believe Richard does use both shops to complete cues but I have never been to his new home to know what he does there.

    Ivory joint

Capping would probably give you a better ivory type hit. Some cuemakers take and mount a solid "round" of ivory and the glue at the base of the ivory and the glue where the joint pin goes through the block and into the wood are what holds the block in place. I personally prefer to bore a .625...

Interested in More info on CNC machine for cues

I bought one from Cary Brace of Dark Horse Cues. He has a Facebook page. Price was reasonable, tech help is super and he can provide some inlay patterns to get you started. Most of the cnc's that are built for cue making are of decent quality. I would encourage you to talk to each of the...

    The best non-pro player ever?

Gar, Bob said , on several occasions, that Tom played better than him. I just have no way of verifying that. He Was an East Coast player, I think. Don't know if he is still alive, either.
