    TS sneakypete economic indicator.

I brought one of the last ones from Tim, was 210 shipped to Indiana. Back in the day we would buy them for $75, resell them out of town for $120.

    Jump cue

https://www.seyberts.com/lucasi-jump-break-cues/lucasi-l-2000jc-jump-cue/ Inexpensive great jumping cue. I use a j&J break/jump that has a white diamond tip, but I've had the jump cue I linked and really found it to be a great jump cue.

    PORPER'S SHAFT CLEANER

Bit of alcohol on a paper towel works pretty well for me, followed by a burnish with a dry paper towel. That is for a wood shaft.

Tim Scruggs cue looking for information

The Scruggs shop did more 1 of 1 designs than catalog cues most years. Doubt you’ll find it in the old brochure pictures.

    No lathe tip job.

I've done a bunch of tips without a lathe, never sanded on my ferrule. Hell I just tape it off so I can't by accident.

How do you guys stop yourself from stick fighting?

    Another great post!

    did you ever wonder.,,

That is a old argument, used to come up all the time. Just my opinion, but if you are tapering, adding rings, changing balance points, building a shaft etc then the individual parts coming together makes you a builder. Same as most things in the world, where the whole is more than the...

For a long long time there really wasn't models, Evan built cues, sometimes he took a current model and made variations. Sometimes he just build what he wanted to build.

Your biggest gambling score, pool or otherwise.

5k at cards, think I cashed out 7k but 2 of it was mine. Pool it would be about 2k. My favorite though was starting play at a dollar a game, guy kept asking to double it until he was down over 300. He didn't have the money, so ended up with quite a bit of cd's and a cd player. That was in 1990...

How many people here play with a fancy custom cue?

I have played with fancy ones, if I owned a fancy one now I'm sure I'd play with it. Currently play with a bluegrass or a joey depending on my mood.

🏆🏆 What is your LARGEST pool accomplishment?

Got second in a open tournament that was a 55-60 ish field full of top players in my state. Had myself in calcutta at like 50 dollars so it was a great payday. Did get to play as a c in a abc tournament like 7 years ago, won the c side and had myself again in calcutta. Finished third, after...

Price check on McDermott wildlife wc-6 / are they even more rare in 2021?

Funny thread. Guy with one of the deepest knowledge base of cues and cuemakers getting accused of attacking someone over a number on a mcdermott. Classic. For the record, one I had that was purchased new, didn't have anything but the mcdermott logo. Was about 3 months after they came out.

Price check on McDermott wildlife wc-6 / are they even more rare in 2021?

I actually had that same cue, purchased new. It isn’t a one off cue, which means it isn’t rare in the cue world. Lot of cues are that, and it still doesn’t make them worth a ton of money. The Scruggs you asked about is far more rare, and desirable, and you think this McDermott should be over...

I'd of haggled, but not all that much. The cue will not lose value in the upcoming years.
