The WD700 is great. It feels like real wood but cheats a little for you. As for the SS United Joint, it's sleeved. But the sleeve is a thicker style. You do still see a bit of wood on both (shaft and butt) unlike Preds where there's no wood showing. I would say the Mezz is a little more forward...
