Etiquette question: Picking up a leaning cue during shot

In my mind the game was over because he is a B or A player. There was 2 balls left. Looked like a straightforward out. The only motion I did to indicate that was leaning my cue. It is bothering me because I never thought it was a move. And if it is, I have done it plenty of times and never got...

Etiquette question: Picking up a leaning cue during shot

I did not grab the rack nor approached the table. I just leaned my cue. I do not take leaning my cue beside me a sign of conceding. I think that is where the difference of opinions lie. I have watched many Pro games online and seen them do exactly the same thing.

Etiquette question: Picking up a leaning cue during shot

I do not feel guilty, I was asking a question. From the varied responses I got, I am surprise someone would be bothered by me laying/picking up my cue out of turn which is 5" from where I was standing. I do not consider that a move as I was standing to his left 6 feet away. I will take the...

Etiquette question: Picking up a leaning cue during shot

I guess I didn't see it as a problem, as it is not a problem for me. He stands while I am shooting as well. And I really couldn't care less if he picked his cue, talked on his cell, danced, whatever. I guess everyone is just built differently and I should respect that.

Etiquette question: Picking up a leaning cue during shot

Wow, there seems to be opinions from 2 directions. To clarify the scene, This happen at a poolhall. I was standing approximately 5 - 6 feet away from the table. I was standing out of the opponent's line of sight, about 90 degrees away from his viewing angle. I was standing and leaned my cue...

Etiquette question: Picking up a leaning cue during shot

I was playing a cheap set. I tend to stand up and hold my cue when not shooting. This allows me to move away from an opponents line of sight and holding the cue is just a habit. I tend to shoot and play fast therefore I like holding the cue. In this instance, I placed my cue down when my...

    Dennis Orcullo - Bad Form

Casinos are not easy money. If they were, they wouldn't be in business. I always thought pool gamblers choose that profession because they had the nuts and in that instance it isn't gambling anymore. I wish him the best, and hope he realizes the truth.

    Dennis Orcullo - Bad Form

Jay, it doesn't matter to me either way. I think he's a great player and he is entitled to act how he feels. But, I remembering watching somewhere that Dennis loves gambling in casinos. That, compounded with family responsibilities could put a lot of pressure on someone. Please correct me if I...

    Slippery wrap question.

Mezz makes this for cues, not sure if it will fit any cue diameter. Its tacky but pulling it in and out of cases will cause the product to shift. http://mezzcues.us/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15&products_id=100&zenid=fb93020ef6f90c274c34fe98b44126b7
