New cushions for Gold Crown 4. HELP!

My regular place has Artemis K55 ('Intercontinental 66") on some of their GCs and Superspeeds on others, all setup by the same guy. I honestly cannot tell a difference. But even at $225 your Ebay guy is cheaper than we can get Artemis here.

Brunswick table model ID and opinions

https://sacramento.craigslist.org/fuo/d/el-dorado-hills-pool-table/6842128953.html It's in good condition by the looks, but hard to tell how old. Some reviews say avoid all low- to medium-grade Brunswicks after 2000. I've already suggested a Gold Crown or AMF Grand Prix, but the wife's got to...

    Bondo and contact cement

At the end of the sub-rail where the facings used to be, and now the extension is attached, the old wood is a bit chewed up in places. The new cushion will be attaching across this not-perfectly-flat joint. Should I fill that flat with bondo first? Or just let the contact cement fill that...

Cushion glue preference - in California

After much reading, I started to overthink. Since I have a can of Weldwood here, some almost-new MBS cushion rubber I just removed, I will test it on some 2x4s, see if I can get comfortable with it. If I don't like the experience, I'll pay the $50/quart price West State quoted me for the RKC...

Cushion glue preference - in California

I know this has been discussed earlier, but I'm guessing the California formulations may be different than those sold in other states. Do you prefer: A. 3M Neoprene Adhesive 10 B. 3M Fastbond Neutral 30NF C. Or the new RKC stuff? I may be able to get that in a quart here in CA, not...

    Reused, tacked in featherstrips

I don't remember seeing this one in the 'shoddy work' thread. Common? I guess I should be thankful they weren't glued in. Rrrrr.

    Advantages to Neoprene facings

Recently I ordered standard 1/8" cloth covered facings from Muellers, haven't installed them yet. I'm wondering now what might be the advantage to using the same thickness facings in Neoprene? Whether those are 60d or maybe 50d which is what I thought Ken @ Classic Billiards had mentioned. I...

Looking for info on Huebler cue

Here is a Huebler from a league mate. This was a custom order, as he recalled? I haven't seen these rings in other threads. What do you guys think? Approximate year of manufacture? If not a custom, does anyone know the Huebler model? And while I don't think he's actively looking to sell...

Here are some Collectible Huebler Cues

Here is a Huebler from a league mate. Was a custom order, he said? I haven't seen these rings in this thread, but I haven't looked much elsewhere. What do you guys think? Approximate year of manufacture? If not a custom, does anyone know the Huebler model? And while I don't think he's...

Looking for an old metal bridge head

I found one on Amazon, but it's light gauge, and flimsy. I'm looking for something older, heavier gauge. Ideally, in bronze, but I'm not firm on that. It doesn't have to be pretty, I can polish it up.

    5/16-14 shaft, maple block ringwork

5/16-14 shaft, made to match an early McDaniel cue, but this was not made by Bill. I had initially posted shafts 1-3 for sale. Original shaft (2) has sold, Original (1) I'm keeping with the cue, so only (3) is for sale. Shaft and joint were made by Meuller's (could be Ryan but I don't...

Shafts 1 and 2 are gone, and 3 is now listed more accurately, in a separate thread.

9' Bar GCIII Tables For Sale

Wow, what a deal. That's about half of what we'd call a good price here in CA. But the crooked installation...I have 8.5 cockeyed in its space, and understandably, that look is just not for everyone. Good luck.

    Tightening pockets effectively shallows shelf?

    Tightening pockets effectively shallows shelf?

I read this somewhere here, maybe not here exactly, could be somewhere in Main Forum - that tightening pockets effectively makes the shelf shallower. I don't like to introduce this topic without context, but I can't find the thread. Opinions? Technically true but not enough for anyone to...

    14'4" x 18'2", big enough???

I have an 8.5' in a tighter space than that, relatively. You'll adjust. IMO most of the concern you're having now during the planning phase, it just goes away once it's setup. Sure, you want to plan as best as possible, but based on my own experience, your space is enough for a 9'. As one...

Broken slate, soup cans, clamps, L-channel, straight edge, super-glue, and bondo.

Yes, some time after the restore, probably when a too-heavy player leaned on it in that unsupported area (me). I hadn't noticed anything until I tore it down to move recently. A mechanic around here suggested to just leave it alone and float it with filler, but I couldn't do that.

Review of Royal Pro pool cloth

In case any of you are considering it, I wrote a review of it here. FYI I'm not a room owner, just a player.
