I seem to like the Predator Victory medium. I had them on a few of their spliced shafts. I do go for the Zan Grip Hard when re-tipping is needed..Best one to date for me.

IMO the Becue is not there in terms of fit, finish & quality. This is the reason I sold my Becue w/ a 5.1 shaft. Predator has created this segment and continues to lead it. Whilst others are just coming out with their versions, I am sure Predator will come out with a variant at the SBE right...

Afaik the Kai uses laminate wood for the top half of the butt while the PB Pro does not. No difference to me in terms of hit but I just saw a thread on FB Mezz Cues Int'l fan page that a lot of the peeps on there prefer the PB Pro feel/hit over the Kai butt.

Yes I am referring to the yellow marks. I said it’s just a matter of time because some can’t hit the cb square/solid & close to the center...so for those people the wear will show later than yours or mine. We probably have a similar break as I do hit the cb well and I don’t have a fast/hard...

I will agree with Masayoshi and I will also add that it is bound to happen. It’s just a matter of time when the marks will show on the cb. I have used the measle cb while practicing my break with a PB PRO with an H shaft & Sonic tip and I have observed the same thing.

The 314-2 & Vantage do not have the same taper. Vantage has a Pro V taper which is just another term for conical taper. Therefore it is the same taper as what you find on a Z2 or Z3.

Thanks for the input Jim. If I consider a hard tip I will install a Zan Grip as I have used them before on my Vantage shafts after the stock Victory M wore out. Do you get any miscues with the US HH?

Thanks for your insights Kim! I may venture to install a Zan M if I do not go for the Predator Victory M. I do prefer a stiffer/harder hit at the front end.

Do you have any feedback regarding the Zan Medium? I’m curious to know how it fairs against the Hybrid Max. Also, for the Zan Soft you’ve put on a Revo have you had customers come back and give you any bad feedback such as mushrooming?

Great info on here so far...thanks to everyone who has posted. For those that use the Victory Soft tip, how do you deal with the mushrooming? I find that it just deforms so easily.
