Video of my 11-yr. old son breaking on YouTube

Is he competing, yet? Any plans for the Valley Forge Jrs tournament or the BCA Junior Nationals? Very solid break for any age.

    Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $1000+ Added - Dec 18th - "No Masters" - 8-Ball

Forecast for Saturday: Clear with the chance of a big calcutta.

    Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $1000+ Added - Dec 18th - "No Masters" - 8-Ball

Prediction? Duane, Take a wild guess how many players there will be. I'll say 91 with a +/- margin of 5.

Kenosha, Wi $1000 added (BCW) McDermott Eight Ball Shootout! Dec 11/12

Short Race? Hi Johnny, You're doing a good job with the BCW and keeping big table pool alive in Wisconsin. One question for the Open on Sunday, Race to 4 and 3 seems a little short for that caliber of players. If there is a turnout of 50 to 60 players, I guess its necessary to finish...

Biggest spot you gave or received.......

The biggest spot I ever got was the 4 and the breaks from a pro. I won the set. :o I won't say how I did with the 5 and the breaks though :( The biggest spot I've ever given was the 5 and the breaks to an 11 year old kid. Races to 5 for $5. His dad (a friend of mine) was staking him so...

    Appleton, WI {No Master 8-Ball singles}

Eau Claire I believe there is a tournament at the Happy Hollow in Eau Claire. Bar table 8 ball tourney race to 4. Probably only half the amount of entries compared to a Beloit tourney, so it should be twice as easy to win.

    Woman's partners tournament, Waukesha WI

Two master women can play together, and no handicap. Seems kind of brutal for the Women B players looking for a way to compete. Do you know of anything for them to gain tournament experience and also have a fighting chance? :sorry:

Conflict? Isn't that the same weekend of the big A & B tourney in Osh Kosh at the Varsity Club? You guys better coordinate with each other so you're not fighting for the same players to attend.

Repeat winner? Can someone who already won the award, i.e. Shane or Chris, win again? Ricky Byrd could be a contender...

    Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $1000+ Added - Nov 20th - "No Masters" 10-Ball

Does the "incoming player has the option" rule also apply on a plain missed shot, or just on a slopped in ball?

    Joe Rogan V's Earl Strickland

Did somebody say "the orange crush"? Not an expert on Joe's game but I would guess either the 5 and the breaks or the 6 out and the breaks. That's not a ton of wait for a player like Earl, so for Joe to win, he's gonna have to be able to play a little. (Making a ball on the break will be...

The pool player vs The hustler

I can't quite figure out if Softshot is: a) Delusional - I will pity him b) Crafty (nice way to get a free 10 hour match with a quality player and gentleman) - I will envy him. c) an Attention Whore - I will ignore him. Also can't figure out if Chris accepted because: a) He likes to...

Adam Smith takes a shot from the PPV Announcers in the US Open

I can vouch for Adam being very professional at every tournament I've ever seen him at. Nobody is perfect, though. Its like reading a prodcut review on the internet. You read about the 1% of the bad experiences and think the product is no good, which is unfortunately skewed from the truth.

    Beloit, WI - The Carom Room - $1000 Added - Nov 6th - "Open" - 10-Ball

What kind of rules? Duane, Are you gonna play the 10 ball with 9 ball rules? Or is it like the pros do it with call the pocket?

Are All Local Tournaments Like Funeral Marches?

Hang in there Its a different kind of vibe that you will get used to. Its serious, plain and simple. I think I know which tourneys your talking about and your handicap will be lowered if you're struggling. Some of those zombies have been doing this for a long time. They will actually open...

Top 10 bar table players in your state

Doh! You're right about Chad. I'll take Troy off the list as he's not really in the pool scene anymore. As much as it pains me to say, after Billy won his 2nd straight state title, I think he deserves a nod over Steve (is he still playing?). As for Billy vs Jamie W, that I think comes...

Top 10 bar table players in your state

I'll take a stab at Wisconsin Maybe Geno's too humble to make a list so here's my humble opinion: Larry Nevel * when he's here and not in the Carolinas Jeff Carter Little John Dave C. Gene A. Randy L. Duncan K. Billy L. Craig P. Troy J. There are about 10 other guys that I want to put on...
