Breathing and breath control during the shot cycle.

I don't know how you breathe, but deep breaths relax me. Most people take deep breaths before a difficult shot. Calm down and clear your mind.

Breathing and breath control during the shot cycle.

Mark Wilson talks about it in Play Great Pool in relation to snipers. I have found a stay more relaxed and put a more smooth stroke on the ball if I am exhaling while delivering the cue. Personally I feel like it helps some players stay relaxed and from thinking about the wrong things. When I...

Big Virtual event Coming!!! 32 top pros

Glad to hear. My only suggestion would be to use racking rules similar to what they do in Asia for 10 ball to ensure no pattern racking in the future.

    1PKT Crane and Diliberto

I had never seen either Wade or Danny play. I was really impressed with Wade's firepower. He drilled one shot at warp speed that some of the above may have passed on. They both displayed great banking ability on some tough banks in the match.

    pre-shot routine

If you don't want to believe what Rodney said in an instructional dvd, then that is your choice. Have you watched the dvd? You say Rodney is naturally gifted, but he stresses the fundamentals throughout. Spends a lot of time on alignment and says he goes back to basics when he isn't playing...

    pre-shot routine

Rodney states cue ball last in the fundamental section of the Break and Run dvds. He says Efren is cue ball last as well. He says players who look at cue ball last tend to have better cue ball control while players who look at object ball last are generally better shot makers. Fedor Gorst and...

    Secrets of pool hustling.

The best poker video was where he sucked out on Hellmuth on Poker After Dark and Hellmuth imploded. I looked again for the video recently and couldn't find it unfortunately. There is a pool video of him playing some One Pocket vs Scott Frost.

    Question about pins

So anything besides a 5/16x14 would be a big pin cue by him?

    Question about pins

Typically people use big pin when referring to a cuemaker. An example would be Scruggs whose normal pin is 5/16x14. A big pin Scruggs would be a 3/8x10 made by him. It is normally not said to be a big pin cue if 3/8x10 is their standard pin from my experience.

    22 out of 23

There is that video of him playing on a barbox vs Johnny Archer with Steve Mizerak sweating/talking. I had thought his high run was mentioned in it but apparently not. Too bad the video is less than 5 minutes. I couldn't find much on youtube of Matlock but what a beautiful smooth stroke he has.

    Crazy Gambling Story

I was there one time while dippy dave was playing Gabe Owen and Corey Deuel. Races to 10 one pocket for 10k. I think the spots were 17-4 and 16-4.They took turns and rested while Dippy played non stop. All of the sets were close but Dippy didn't win any of them. I have a good poker friend...

Cue Lost by USPS - Should I Refund the Buyer

Haha. That will offset some of the cost for popcorn. I think it is an informative thread anyway to see people's different views on how to handle.
