    Young U.S. 9 Ball players?

Who of our under age 30 U.S. 9 Ball players is best on 9' tables? What order would you rate these three? Thorpe Bergman Skyler Some one else?

    SVB's Mosconi Facebook post

Go away MC Cup! The M.C. Cup is outdated and away for a bunch of chest thumping Euros to think they are the best 9 Ball players the world has to offer. What a lie. All they have done is year after year cherry pick the players who have the hot cue for a given year. In the mean time, they...

Safe break in 10 ball, another Duel special.

Well...... Hey nine_ball6970, I enjoy watching Corey play. But, he ain't in the same league as Shane and the almost 20 years earnings you quote average out to less then $50,000 a year. No matter how it is counted, that is not a lot of yearly income when you think about no insurance or...

Which CURRENT pro would you recommend a beginner to emulate?

Well Big or Little Ko. They shoot great, make lots of money and win lots of money playing darts. I would say Efren, as I don't know any one that made more money in tournaments then him or was a better all around player. But, those big tournament money days are gone. Niels Feigen is a great...

Safe break in 10 ball, another Duel special.

Woe is me The look on Shane's face is priceless and by now he should not be surprised by Corey doing any and every thing "legal" to gain advantage. Corey is not in the same "league" as Shane and I doubt any of his breaking tricks will ever help him to make a good living at playing pool and...

World Cup of Pool 2018 Thread

What I saw. I watched many of the matches on You Tube and WOW! Wu and Kevin Chang are scary good 9 Ball players. So many were good. One thing was apparent to me though, like last year, Team U.S.A. did real well. Shane and Skyler hung tough and got beat by a great team. They also did well...

    Simonis X-1 Cleaner

Have one I got one about 3 years ago and have only used it a few times. I find a micro fleece towel does as good or better a job of picking up chalk and I can rinse them in the deep sink and toss in the wash machine. I mainly use a small vacuum cleaner and micro fleece towels, works good.

Lee Vann Corteza's Pool Cue by Pat Diveney

What about me? That is a beaut of a cue from a great cue maker. I have been shooting with Diveney cues for several years. How come mine does not shoot as good as Lee's shoots?

    Efren Reyes Retirement Tour

No Busty? Where is his buddy Busty, can't think of any one I would rather see with the great Efren!

So What Have U Guys Been Doing While AZ Has Been Down?

Enjoyed life. AZ being down did not change my life and I don't think the rest of this hick Alaskan town even knew it was down. Glad it is back, but pool will be going down on my priority list for awhile. Summers are short in Alaska and there are many fish to catch and moose and caribou to pursue.

    When did it start?

When did the bar box start showing up in pro tournaments? Did Efren, Buddy, Johnny and some of the other old pros have rack issues, or is this something new?

    Uber-beautiful Cues from Pat Diveney!

Diveney When I got back into pool in 2012 I found out about Pat on here and being from Iowa I thought I would give him a try. I now have 2 Diveney players, a Diveney jump/break with a Lake Salvage shaft, a Diveney Lake Salvage regular shaft and LD shaft and now a LD Kiel Wood shaft, all are...

    Jennifer "shot clock" Barretta

Don't watch. When there is something on the idiot box I don't like I don't watch it. Those gals ain't gonna change and there are only a few I would watch and JB is not one of them. My 2 cents

    One very sick pool player

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the crud you caught Jay, sounds bad. I hope the doctor checked you for strep, if not you need to be checked and pneumonia shots are not a 100% guarantee. Makes me wonder after reading your post. Some of those bugs are vicious and take a couple of weeks or more to...

Playing with a new shaft size

Up to you. Shaft diameter and taper is a very personal thing and it is up to you to decide. My two Diveney Lake Salvage shafts are 12.5mm and the shaft is the same 12.5mm diameter for the first 18 inches. A few months ago I had Diveney cues make me up a 30" Kiel wood shaft with a 12.65mm...

    looking for new break cue

Over rated? When we break the rack, we are trying to control the cue ball and at the same time control where we hit on the rack and the speed the cue ball travels. If I am right on this, then a good breaker like Shane, Shaw, Big Ko, etc. will always get the most out of any cue and they can...

Meucci has lost two pros in the past month

What the heck? So we got a Scottish guy living mostly in America, representing a Chinese cue company and playing on the Euro Mosconi Team. Ya gotta love diversity! Maybe they will find away to have him on the Efren Cup.

    Jose 'Amang' Parica

Hey Jay Putting you on the spot here and feel free to say go away if ya want. In their prime at rotation games and in a dark room with their own money on the table. Who wins Jay, is it Dennis or Jose? Or could they meet several times and just trade money back and forth?

Name the pro playes using LD shafts

Don't name me! Please don't name me! I want no one to know that I am a "pro player", I have been sandbagging for years with the hopes I can nail Alex or Dennis or Jayson or who ever the flavor of the day is in their unbeatable game or an ":all around". Crap, the alarm clock just went off...

    Darren Appleton ok?

Hope so! He is a human being who is a great pool player. He has also displayed intense emptions publicly. He has chosen to make a living and provide for his family with monies earned from pool. That is a tough road to travel. I pray he is ok and believe he is one of the good ones in the pool...
