"CTE" South Carolina to Shreveport La

I'm beginning to wonder what will happen first: Peace in the Middle East A cordial discussion about aiming on this forum I've tried and occasionally use aiming techniques which includes cte/pro1. I think I've summed up the argument here before, but will do again. Do aiming systems work? Yes...

    Your thoughts on taper roll?

Here's what I do to prevent taper roll. I never roll a cue on the table. This way every cue I use is absolutely perfectly straight. I don't even roll cues I pull off the wall. It's my one pool superstition

Finnegan is a crook and a scumbag.

I'd say that someone needs to apologize to someone. On a side note: I've never heard of doing a 10b B&R with 15 balls, but then again I've never heard of balls on the break not counting. Last year one hall near me had three B&Rs going. One for $25k and two $10k. I've just always seen them...

Which chalk do you guys use?

When I scuff all the chalk off my tip I put a layer of kamui on it and then masters over that. I do the same with my break cue because for some reason the mezz pbp tip won't take masters unless I use kamui first

The Hustlers Week 3: Episode 5 Thread

I really liked this episode. I'd say it was the best one so far. Side note: That Smiley is the cutest thing ever

    No more secrets in pool

After you've been playing a long time any small discovery is as big as learning draw for the first time. The discoveries come further apart the longer you pay, but the importance remains the same

First time back at the table in 18 months

Yep :) Kind of funny how that worked out. He owned a room when I lived in Ohio and was working at a pool hall a few towns away. This time I'm not working at a pool hall, but he's going to be running another hall a town away

First time back at the table in 18 months

Before I hung it up I was beating the ghost only using BiH when I had no shot. Going from that to this is a rude awakening. It's going to be fun getting it back though. The new big hall opening near me has hours that really work for me too. I work 12 hours a night 630p-630a Mon-Thur and...

First time back at the table in 18 months

Thanks I did it at work. I tried to play with it, but any time I'd shoot I'd have pain shoot all the way up my arm. I hung it up after about 20 minutes.

First time back at the table in 18 months

Ooooooooh the horror!!!!!!!!!! Pulled a tendon in my stroking arm a year and a half ago. It took about two months to get better, but by then I was working 60-72 hours a week and that pretty much ended my play time. Finally I'm only working 48 hours a week now and have a little time to play. I...

How strong is the Ohio pool scene?

That place is long long gone. It was Dello's when I first was there until a management change helped along by the feds. When I was being interviewed to work there Dello's wife asked me why I wanted to work there. I told her so I could play for free. She liked the answer and I spent from open...

How strong is the Ohio pool scene?

So is Troy Frank, JR Gay and this forum's own favorite author Jay Helfert. I'm from Ohio as well, not that I'm on anyone's radar. I used to work at Rack n Roll in Mentor years ago when pool halls were still packed to the gills. I moved to NC 20 years ago and thankfully the scene here is pretty...
