I don't much about the subject but I would agree with Rusty that the case looks original. I love that the latch is on the seam side. It also has Ann Gore's initials as the tooling mark. Seller should do well. Winner of the auction should have a really nice case.

Jason, I think I can answer your question. Yes, Holly veneers are used by several cuemakers to achieve a white look. Danny often uses Holly. But on Tommy's cue, Danny used natural Erable Sycamore veneers. The black veneers are Pearwood. Rik

Tommy, Congrats, on the acquisition. Always really liked that veneer pattern. And that wrap does look pretty sporty. There's no doubt in my mind that it is a super player. By the way, I think you should remove the link at the bottom of your post, it really makes me hungry and I'm on a diet...

Cases are tooled in the Fellini tradition. The leather was tooled by Peter Main. And of course the cases were made by Ron Thomas.

Wow, it says these Centennial cases are from the early 60's. I thought the company started making cases in the 80's. Looks like I will have to edit my manuscript.

Until the current owner requested, John had never positioned the Signature at the bottom of the butt cap. Hopefully the current owner will compensate John for his time and cost of shipping.
