    Heat treating steel

Hello Cuemakers I got a new knife the other day (Jerry Fisk Sendero) and it got me to thinking. Does anyone heat treat any of the steel used in cues, or use anything other that the standard 440 stainless? I’ve seen a couple Schicks with Damascus and seen mention of Black Boar using hardened...

    Frost-Orcullo..................

What is going on with Josh? I’ve seen him play a few times and have never seen play like this from him. Not taking anything away from him, usually a lot of fun to watch. Everyone has bad days, I guess.

    Looking for cue maker

Kind of limiting yourself with only cuemaker on this forum, there are some good ones, but the vast majority won’t post. I realize offering options is the exact opposite from what you asked, but I’ll do it anyways. John K. Bender is a great choice, IMO one of the great deals in the cue world...

    😀3 Sugartrees new to me😀

I’ve been a fan of the work Eric does since the first time I seen one of his cues. And, it seem he is only getting better at his craft, the woods are as only a true wood junky would have, but the craftsmanship is getting into the “epic” levels. I really love seeing new and exciting designs and...

What's Good About A "Good Hit"?

Simply... The rock moves exactly as intended, consistently. And, the cue has “that sound”, hard to explain but you know know it when you hear it.

    is it normal for ivory

It happens. Finishes will develop a patina, it just shows up against the white much clearer. One thing I do with all my ivory about every year is put a light coat of baby oil to keep it from drying out.
