I miss the old players. They don’t make em like they used to. Part of the appeal of the pool hall growing up was all the characters and their stories.
The new guys might be more accurate. But the carbon fiber/low deflection shafts make everyone that much better. It would be interesting to see...
I’d give up extra weight to someone who played me a day after getting snitched. If i got beat, it would be worth it to see some poor guy hobble around the table in nut pain. Take a weekend off and ice the gems man.
Then why mention you know his business at all? It’s like a little kid telling another little kid “I have a secret but I am not telling you”. No biggie though, it’s cool you are on the in with SVB. 👍👍👍
I saw Corey play a set where he could only win the game by 3-fouling his opponent, who was a pretty solid player. Corey lost hill/hill. I think they played for 600-800. Just one set.
I’ve really been enjoying the 14.1 show. I appreciate watching the best in the world play regardless of equipment or format. This thread makes me feel like pool fans would complain about tripping over gold because it’s too heavy to carry home. 😁
Willie
I first started going to pool halls around my area in Wisco when I was 16-17 and it was after Willie's prime. But he was always one of my favorites to see at a tournament. Such a smart player. Classy guy. Quiet. He would take naps in the chair in between matches. Anyways, I always like...
Mark
Mark was around my parts over winter. Not sure if he still is. Central Wisco. Saw him playing in a bar box tournament. He also matched up with a few players around here on the bar box.
busty
I could watch Busty play one pocket allllll day long. I do think Corey played some awesome one hole too. I thought he was going to win. Not enough to bet against Busty though!!
