Old shaft wood vs. New shaft wood

Very glad you asked, if you did not ask, you could go thru life believing that I am talking about wood that you can see thru, not the case at all. It simply means CLEAR of defects. When a log is cut, the cut pieces pass by the lumber grader, he has to quickly determine the value of the wood...

    Fictional interview

Pictures, Or it did not happen. Well then, I have; 27 8x10 color glossy photographs with circles and arrows on the back of each one explaining what each one was. In walked the Judge with his seeing eye dog. I knew right then it was a typical case of American blind justice.

Old shaft wood vs. New shaft wood

Perhaps you could elaborate on that? I have worked with wood in many ways, the word clear is a word that is standard thru out all industries that use wood. From the logger, log truck driver, sawyer, grader, seller, engineer and end user, the word clear is a standardized word to all of these...

Old shaft wood vs. New shaft wood

Agreed, coning is a waste of time. If a shaft will be completed with a Pro taper, every turn will be like a Pro Taper. If a shaft will end up with a Conical taper, every turn will be in Conical form. (Going from square to round does not count.)

Wow, my name was mentioned in great company.

I have never bumped one of my own threads but with Schmidt taking the record, I could not help myself, I was rooting for him the entire time.

Krown Cue - FTC Complaint - Customers Getting Restless

If they belonged to the fantastic AZBilliards, they would never have had this problem. Good chance Krown will be in here today under a new name with some story, his real name was kicked out of here and he is not allowed to be a member. Once again, people get burned by non AZ members then their...

    Triangle and Triumph Tips

Sounds like he wants the 13mm to be sold more often. I like the 14mm on thin ones, I don't mind the extra trimming, getting rid of the outside layer seems to help. It was pool room owner on the East Coast who talked me into it and he even sent me a full box even though he only needed a few...

    Just mho, but...

I agree, electric guitar is just the item that holds the pickups. Some people with a real good ear can say the wood makes a difference but I am not that good of a player to really know. To the others who own Fender, love them as well, I use a Fender bass, American made of course. ( I have...

    Anniversary project

When the table is complete, post in the main forum like many people do. I posted my Anniversary there and it got a great response. Don't ask this one to be moved but keep this one going until complete. Just my two cents.

    Just mho, but...

And cars are still made with metal but guess what? Neither is comparing apples to apples. A cue transfers energy from the tip downward from impact, a tennis racket takes the energy in a very different manner. I own a Gibson Les Paul with a curly Maple flame top finish, same guitar has been...

    Just mho, but...

That is downright funny. Did you hear the one about the guy who bought a new Carbon Fiber shaft? He was all excited to get it. Then he shot with it and his game didn't improve. He took some Viagra and his game went soft, you could say he was really let down.
