It is very common to not be able to bring your A game against much weaker players.

Throw in Chang Hao Ping and Lee Kun Fang in the mix. Both were world class players in that era as well. Lee Kun Fang used to frequent my local room in Taiwan when I was there, still plays a strong game.

I agree. Shane definitely is more seasoned and plays more strategically and probably has more tricks in his bag. Ko tends to get a little wild when the patterns are getting complicated.

I definitely agree. You can "perform" consistently in pool, but your results may differ. The timing of the mistakes and "rolls" can easily change the outcome of a match played in this format and equipment. Personally, I believe 9 ball is too easy for these pros to play such a short race...
