I agree, either lock or delete threads. I mean hell, this is a POOL discussion, not a drama series on AZ billiards

    WPC 9 ball in Qatar

Same can be said of the America events in terms of a big handful of elites not participating from the Asian countries. Other than Lo Li Wen, I don't think any Taiwanese players have participated in any of the American events in the past few years. Maybe the WPC should be held in Hawaii :)

    Pocketpoint & Curly Howard

Taken straight from the forum rules: "Disagreeing with someone is fine, but calling them an idiot because of their opinion is not." I hope the moderator would keep this place a little more in control. Trolls should be monitored but those who flame the trolls should also be warned. Sick of these...

    Pool in L.A. in July?

It is not a pool room, but rather a cue repair/maintenance shop with one table. Awesome place though :)

How do you hit and aim the cue ball to make this bank shot?

I do this every once in awhile when I miss my bank :) Unintentionally of course. Actually, its funny how a lot of missed fluke shots are "amazing" shots when played intentionally.

    World Record: 526 balls

Was born in 88 so never gotten the chance to see him play lol. Let's just say, appreciate the legend and keep it at that. No need to try to dethrone him or make comparisons. The era is different and its difficult to make a comparison when so many factors are different. This is just as annoying...

You guys ever wonder why cheaper cues never

Because beginners wants something flashy and haven't learned the true aesthetics to cues yet :) How cheap are "cheaper cues" though? Mezz has plain janes for 300ish? But if we're talking about like 100-200, yup its rare, they all come with questionable designs.

    Ability VS Equipment

Do we know how he ended the run? If its just simply poor position play, then LD shaft will make no difference.

Kamui Chalk on Ebay. $76.00 and climing!

Sorry dude! I really hate leagues, bar boxes, and private lessons! Expensive custom cues and Kamui chalks are for the wasteful ones. CTE is the only way to aim!

Kamui Chalk on Ebay. $76.00 and climing!

I like how every topic on AZ can turn into an argument :) Can't we discuss things rationally?

    Ability VS Equipment

I also believe that its the player and not the equipment unless it isn't shooting straight. If it made that much of a difference I'd expect more pros to be using LD shafts. While it may make a lot of difference for players who are not experienced in judging squirt levels, to the pros/world class...

The placebo effect is very strong, especially in pool.

What I learned playing a banger.

That is very true. A couple games with some advices and teaching for players who can pocket balls well but have poor knowledge on position play can take their games to the next level. On top of that while these games may not be important for the better player, it can become a lifetime experience...

Beating a "somewhat" dead horse. (Re: the state of our sport)

Great post. I think the key is to clean up all the negative connotations that is widely associated with pool (gambling, alcohol, and bar-like setting) and encourage the youths to participate in this game. The reason why America dominates most sports is that we have good training and knowledge...
