Same address for Seybert's and Predator

Just noticed that the address listed for Seyberts is exactly the same address listed on the Predator web site - in Coldwater, Michigan. Anyone know the full story? I believe Seybert's does warranty and repair work on Predator cues and shafts. Maybe this is just the U.S. address that Predator...

    Switching from glasses to contacts

I am far sighted, so have worn bifocals for several years for reading and have worn a weaker pair of single vision larger glasses for playing pool. Started experimenting with contacts a few months ago. I started with multi-focals that give decent vision at all distances including the...

    US Open 10-Ball & US Open 8-Ball

Watched very little of the Pro events last year because the table could not be seen without standing on the bleachers. Hope that is corrected this year.

    Scotch Doubles Silver Races

Ok - I see that now also - not sure if I mis-read the bracket or if it was already corrected. Never mind.

    Scotch Doubles Silver Races

In the past, races in scotch have been to 4 on the winners side and 3 on losers side. Trying to understand the changes this year: First round is almost all race to 3 ?? - with just one or two matches in each bracket listed as a race to 4??- then the rest of the winners side is listed as races...

Coaching Now Allowed in Scotch Doubles??

The two partners CAN communicate - while not at the table. While at the table, skill, experience and knowledge are required. When the stronger player is allowed to simply shout instructions and dictate how to play the shot, much less experience and knowledge is required. We played under the...

Bergman vs. Deuel at BCAPL National Championships

I too would like an answer to this question. Last year I watched very little of the Pro matches because standing on the bleachers was the only way to adequately see the play on the table. Really hope this issue has been addressed and corrected for this year. Mark?

    Cyclop Balls and Cloth Wear

Have not seen the Cyclops TV set for less than $195 anywhere else - better make sure they are new rather than tournament used.

    Cyclop Balls and Cloth Wear

Don't have to get the "ugly" Cyclops balls - they also make a home edition using regular colors. The Cyclops balls have a phenolic content equal or greater than Aramith Tournament Balls(Duramith). I have both sets and prefer to use the Cyclops on my table because they stay extremely clean -...

How tight is too tight for 14.1?

When people post about playing on tables with pockets less than 4.5 ", I have to wonder if we are measuring the pockets in the same place, because a table with less than 4.25" pockets would be extremely tight. The measurement should be taken from the point where the straight rail changes angle...

    Rules question

This came up in a match today. Situation: opponent makes a ball - than about ten seconds later while surveying the table, he inadvertently brushes an object ball with his hand. Playing all ball fouls, we both understood this to be a foul - minus one point. But then the question was: does the...

    CSI BB Tournament

Very few men can break in excess of 20 MPH. Most men will break in the 15 - 18 MPH range. If you don't believe that , use the break speed iphone app or a radar gun to see for yourself.

    Table height

Current BCA equipment specifications still state: 29 and one quarter minimum to 31" maximum.

    Where to measure pocket width

Thanks everyone - you have verified what I thought to be true. Just did not understand why CJ - and I have great respect for his knowledge and skill - would take a ruler and measure his pockets as just over 4" when - with two balls sitting in the pocket - they are really 4 and one-half inches...

    Where to measure pocket width

If the pockets are called "pro cut" - typically meaning the corner pockets are 4 and one-half inches - it means nothing if there is not a standard place where this measurement should be taken.

    Where to measure pocket width

A question for the mechanics: If you want a table to have corner pockets of a particular size - say 4 and a half inches - where on the pocket do you make the measurement. I always thought that the measurement was taken from one inside point to the other inside point. Inside point meaning --...
