I know right? Everyone that says "it's clearly a foul" or "I would call a foul all day" apparently didn't read that rule. The rule says its not a foul.

Thank you for posting the rule. It is obviously not a foul but I would definitely remind the player to never do it again and I would be vigilant when seeing someone put the bottom section of the jump/break cue in the pocket.

If you have good jump fundamentals, then you can jump with pretty much anything. Where you will notice a difference between the jump/break cues is how they are weighted. Most of them will be good for a pendulum (under the shoulder) jump shot. Some maybe not be the best to dart with however...
