What makes you, better than others?

I have no clue what you're saying here.

What makes you, better than others?

From an ability point of view I'm probably a better shotmaker than most of the people I beat, and I probably have a better break. My biggest edge though is in knowledge, particularly in kicking, banking, and safety, but especially in kicking. Put two players on the table and the one who kicks...

1P - What would you do?

I don't think there's much of a decision here. The best shot is to make the 13 and draw over to play the 8, planning either to disturb the stack from the 8, or to play position from it to the 9. If you end up straight in on the 8 then roll through and bank the 9 straight back. I don't feel...

    IPT qualifiers

Sure are a lot of them. I wonder if they'll ever have a tour event. They probably should try and delay as long as possible because all those qualifiers must be a major cash cow. What do you think?

what is the best gambling match you have ever seen?

One of the best matches I saw was when Jack Cooney and Cliff Joyner played in Atlanta in 2000, right after the DCC. They played 3 sets for $25,000 each and I think the spots were 11-8/10-8 for set one, 10-8/9-8 for set two and 8-7 for set three. Can't remember for sure. It wasn't necessarily...

Which ONE GAME gives you the most versatility?

play them all There's too much diversity in the skills required to compete in the different games. I say if you want to be tops in any game you need to play them all as much as possible. Regardless of the game you end up playing, it's the all around skills that will eventually pay off.

Buddy - Can Play One Pocket!

Grady also said that after the match the owner of the pool room hung up a sign that read: DON'T COME IN HERE AND MISS, AND EXPECT TO WIN BECAUSE THERE HAVE BEEN THOSE THAT CAME THAT DIDN'T MISS AND DIDN'T WIN! I always liked that. BTW, in another post of top one pocket players Parica was...

The thrill never goes away. Of course when you dog it and blow a few thousand it tends to become kind of elusive.

    Get out from here......(champions only)

Well just to clarify, I started off saying I'd lay 7-5 that I would not give up ball in hand. Then I said I'd take 2-1 to hit it 10 in a row and 20-1 to hit it 100 in a row. Somehow you interpreted that as though the wager was that we'd play the game from there. So either you were mistaken in...

    Get out from here......(champions only)

Yeah yeah, like I say, spare me the cheap hustles. I hear two hundred of them every day. Next you'll offer to "tell me where I got my shoes".

    Get out from here......(champions only)

Let me reiterate - I agreed to bet on the kick, not on who wins the game. Save the cheap hustles for the suckers in your retirement home.

    racking The Balls.........

Well it's the single most important shot in nine ball, so yeah, I guess you could say it means a lot.

Rack your own balls in tournaments?

Racking your own balls is best not just for speed concerns, but also for the nature of the competition. It's simply inappropriate to have the person who is trying to beat you as the one racking the balls for you. I do agree that the 2-ball should be placed at the very back of the rack - most...

    Get out from here......(champions only)

I'll bet on the kick, not on the game (if we take the 3 off the table I might bet on the game, though). I'll probably be at the DCC. We can even play a set of nine ball, if you want. Bring money :)

    Get out from here......(champions only)

You got action. The kick as i diagrammed it goes right around the 5 ball anyways and the 3's not even in the equation. I think you'd better try the shot a few times yourself. In fact, lay me 5-1 and I'll bet I can hit it 10 times in a row! Lay me 20-1 and I'll hit it 100 in a row!
