TAR 21: Pagulayan vs Van Boening. THE REMATCH !!!

Schmidt is really good, so is Shannon. I always like it when they get a good player in the booth who is also articulate and has some character, plus maybe someone who can offer some insight that you haven't necessarily heard before. Grady and Billy are great, of course, as is Jay, but it's...

TAR 21: Pagulayan vs Van Boening. THE REMATCH !!!

The setup sounds awesome, I only wish there was more room for spectators. Having a crowd totally heightens the tension of the match imo. Obviously logistically difficult but I hope one day you can do it.

Can you play good pool with any Cue?

I can play well with virtually any cue, but the farther it is in feel from my regular cue (a Schon with a predator shaft) the more conservative I'm likely to play. I'm going to avoid big spin shots and tricky cuts and stuff for quite a while until I start to get the feel for what the cue can...

    Air Travel with Cues..Help!?

Just buy a good case and check them. I've flown with my cues in the luggage hold probably 40+ times and never had a single problem.

    Master Teams

yeah I agree here. Many of us have no clue whatsoever why you continue to hold the tournament at the Riv. It's an absolute dump and getting worse every year, yet somehow the prices keep going up. The time has long passed for the BCA to find a new venue.

    Master Teams

This is a pretty good post. Definitely I would say that most master-level players have 'been there and done that' when it comes to the BCA tournament in Vegas, so the notion of getting some glory for a high finish no longer interests them. For them the bottom line is always going to be about...

Dechaine 8 and out vs Archer?

Alternate break is totally ridiculous for pro pool and should not have been allowed ever. The bottom line is that while the eight pack was a stellar accomplishment regardless, a race to eight of ten ball is barely a sprint for players of this level. I watched tons of matches and on countless...

WTB - Predator shaft for Schon

Looking for an original Predator shaft that will fit a Schon cue. I'm only interested in the original too, none of the later models. Standard length, standard tip size (12.5 mm, I believe)

    Gold Crown III question

I am thinking of buying some used Gold Crown III's. There is a sticker on the bases that identify them as such, but there's also what appears to be a manufacturers sticker with nothing but "DLK" stamped on it, instead of model number and so forth. Does anyone know what that means? Here's a pic...

The World Snooker Professional Championship 2011

Yeah me too. This is shaping into a very intriguing match as well. Judd seems to have it in control at the moment but Higgins is so good that you feel he could dominate at any moment. Can't wait until tomorrow.

    Selby's Cue

I believe Higgins is using a Kamui (black) tip actually, and not a Moori. O'Sullivan was definitely using an Elkmaster or a Blue Diamond at the WSC. You could easily see that during a few of the closeups they showed, not to mention by the sound.

Will someone please explain snooker rules to me... please

You may be interested to know that Efren has reportedly beaten both Ronnie O'Sullivan and Jimmy White, not to mention Kirk Stevens, playing even snooker for money. I seriously doubt he'd have much trouble with the likes of you.

    Kid Delicious vs Tony Annigoni

I've read both books and POTR is much better than RTT. RTT is very well written, but I have no idea how someone thinks a biography of a 23-year-old (who is still alive) is a good idea. Why not write a biography of someone who has had a full career, like Hopkins, Mizerak, Varner or Sigel...

A question for usa pool and a snooker player

This should be true. Less friction = more deflection, I should think.
