    The tina blade is about 8"long many sharpenings.Gerber makes a nice utility blade holder that I somtimes use but I usualy just bare blade it.

    DON'T use bleach,fast orange hand cleaner with pumice and a paper towel with the grain changing out the towel as it gets dirty,use a magic eraser on the final scrub if tou want ,but not realy needed,let dry a while, the grain will be raised a bit,knock it down with 400 then 600 and 1000 sand...

    Wrap maniac.

    A good alchohol leather dye such as Feibings works well for me,sealing the wrap groove well is good insurance and do not flood the wrap with the dye, you run the risk of the dye creeping along the grain under the finish. Good luck, Wayde

    If you want alcohol minus the water go to the hardware store paint section and get denatured alcohol,and yes amonia works well.

    A good high quality blade with teeth that are ground such as a timberwolf and not stamped will help with blade drift.Also if your machine is a small one the frame is probably not stiff enough to properly tension a 1/2" blade.

    check out ,www.usshoptools.com and look at the Korloy TCGT32.5 AK H01 #koy-1462,it's a high rake carbide insert made for cutting aluminum and is awesome.It's sharp and seems to last forever I have yet to change out my first one.
