    Montgomery, AL

No Tournaments on 9-18-10 There is a tournament (team event) on the following Saturday. I play out of the Breakroom and occasionally DeJaVu or Papa T's (7 ft. Diamonds). If you are looking for money games your best bet is DeJaVu. I don't usually go in to Montgomery on Saturday or I would...

I'd get more involved in pool, but.........

Kudos to you two guys... My hat's off to both of you for your devotion to your spouses, extended family, duties, etc. and to your love of pool. There should be more like you and less like me (I am retired and spend way too much time in the pool halls). My chores sometimes get put on a back...

    Life after APA

APA for Me Maybe I am in the minority here but I have enjoyed playing in the APA since January 2000. I think the 23 rule gives the lower handicapped players a chance to compete and with the Equalizer system, a chance to win against a high skill level player. I agree that much of the pleasure...

Found this book online.......has anyone here read it?

Great Book This book was recommended to me by a friend who noticed that I tried too hard and got frustrated with my performance. It is the greatest. I have read it multiple times and reread certain sections of it repeatedly.

    Baloney or Miracle worker?

Energy/Fatigue Problems? I don't know if JoeyA was referring to energy/fatigue problems or not but I waterski a lot and take L-Lysine (an amino acid) before a practice set. It gives me more energy and stamina. P.S. I am also addicted to pool. Love my two passions! Nell Drake

what game is fun for a C--- and a strong B+??

Wife vs. Pool I can kinda relate. My ex-husband went to his farm every weekend of the year. I could choose to go with him and sit in the house with his mother (yuck) or spend my time hating his farming habit...until I finally realized how much it meant to him and how relaxed he was when he...

    cooper pool tables

Cooper Tables Yes, I have played on them and I would not recommend them. They tend to sag in the center a bit making balls roll off. Of course, this is just my opinion and maybe it was just the particular tables I played on so take this information and add it to whatever other responses you...

    Any Advice...

Me, too. I also had a problem letting a simple missed shot blow my game to bits and pieces. I would just fall apart and not make balls I know I can make. My team captain told me to just say to myself or out loud "Oh, well" and shrug my shoulders. You will get another shot. I also have the...
