Congrats Mike D. for a win under pressure vs. Mika. Take that, commentators.

I enjoy watching Mike play. "Every shot an adventure" describes my game perfectly. Of course, Mike's skill makes the likelihood of success much higher. "Screw the points, go for the pin" mentality makes for fun spectating. pete

    gadgets in case

Best gadget is a snooker style chalk pocket, chosen after I almost poked my eye out with the pocket chalker. Also a Gator Grip, Ultimate Tip Tool and an all purpose scuffer, carried in a small zip bag. pete

John Brumback's "Bank Pool Secrets of a World Champion"

Worked on me. Of course my banking skills are more feeble than my kicking game, which would make Little Joe weep. The kicker, though, was seeing you and Fig pulling on the same oar. I figure that's as close as this old atheist will get to seeing the rapture. pete

    ................................

music Full disclosure: Old White Guy here. I prefer silence. Tolerate softly played blues or light classical. Something you couldn't or wouldn't dance to. Military and motorcycle experience were not kind to my hearing, so much contemporary songwriting is lost on me. An exception is...

    60" (or longer) Cues ?

Not too large a problem. My Sterling Wave 4x8 case ($150 @ Billiards Warehouse right now) has a 32" tub, plus an extra inch available under the cover. Easily accommodates my 60" Allers. pete

What's the proper way to put pocket chalker in your pocket?

I decided to find a different solution to chalk holders after nearly putting out my eye with a Pocket Chalker. (don't ask) I settled on a snooker style chalk pouch. It clips on my waist band just above my back pocket. Same motion to access and replace chalk as I'd been used to with the pocket...

    Drill to stop elbow drop

Flexing the forearm at the elbow from the paused position at the end of the backstroke. "close the elbow" is a positive affirmation of what I want to happen after Pre-shot routine and dropping"into"the shot. I don't want to jump up on the shot, I don't want my grip tightening,my wrist turning...

    Drill to stop elbow drop

elbow drop I concentrate on closing my elbow to the max extent the shot and my body allow. Doing this automagically minimizes the elbow drop issue. Focusing on what I don't want to happen, facilitates its happening. pete

    CJ Wiley's Aiming system=CTE=?

Great thread! While screwing around with pivot methods, I discovered that cut shots can be viewed as triangles. The triangle is formed by: the target, the point on the OB equator farthest from the target and the point on the CB equator closest to the target. The target and OB contact point...
