how are you doing in league play ?

We just finished our BCA League a few weeks ago. I was the top shooter for most of the season, until work sent me out of town for a bit. I had one bad week and was never able to crack the top 3 again. I finished in 4th place individually and my team got 3rd...

What I think would finally grow pool. (BCAPL/Pro/8-ball connection)

Personally I don't think ESPN is every going to be the right venue to grow a Men's Pro Tour. ESPN is 90% targetted to Men, Couch sitting, Beer drinking, NFL, NBA, MLB, Product Buying and Endorsing Fans. The last thing that Men, that don't give 2 shits about pool, want to see is some foreign...

What I think would finally grow pool. (BCAPL/Pro/8-ball connection)

As far as I know, the league I run in Phoenix is the only one that pays out 100% of the player dues to the players at the end of the season. Many other leagues take out huge chucks to feed their own pockets, pay for expenses, etc. I don't think it depends on what league system it is either...

What I think would finally grow pool. (BCAPL/Pro/8-ball connection)

I run a league with 80-90 players each session and I would be able to get 70-80 of them to pay the dues without much resistance. We have players fighting to get into our league as we cap it off.

What I think would finally grow pool. (BCAPL/Pro/8-ball connection)

Let's get the APA to feed into the BCAPL System at $1/player and then it's easy to get $2/player from the BCAPL players each week. There are far more APA players as they are all C and D type players and their money would fund Regional and National BCAPL Events and then the BCAPL could fund the...

Why are they using a 10 ball Magic Rack in The Cup?

They recently quit making the 9-ball rack. The Pack now comes with an 8-ball and a 10-ball rack. I sell them. 10 ball has the tail so you can use it for both games.

    Mosconi FREE Stream Is UP

hmm, is the HaHaSport still working? I'm getting: "Server not found: rtmpt://live.megom.tv:80/streams" Right in the middle of the Video Box. Crap, I hope it's not my work preventing it. (I also tried the Test Link on the paysite and that link is blocked, ugh!!!)

Hey, I got some free time this Friday if someone wants to play. I'm free from 9 a.m. till about 4 or so if the right opportunity presents itself. Doesn't have to be a challenge match, but I would welcome the opportunity, or just some good practice at any of the games. (I even wouldn't mind...

That's only a small part of the problem. The bigger parts are that no two valley tables play the same, they have horrible rails, you can hit the 2nd diamond and it still goes, etc. etc. Nothing worse than playing for shape and the cue ball goes "THUNK" into the rail and comes no where near the...

Great Handicap 9-ball format at Sharks in Appleton,wi

Yeah, they changed the format in 2010 to handicap both the race and the entry. In 2010, numbers were really big, pulling in 50+ at every stop, but for whatever reason in 2011, the numbers are low. The finale is this weekend from Bullshooters for Big Table 10 Ball, they will be streaming live...

Great Handicap 9-ball format at Sharks in Appleton,wi

Thanks for the Info Gene! I'd love to give that tournament a try sometime when I'm home visiting the 'rents. The Desert Classic Tour here in AZ handicaps both the Race and the Entry fee. And they do it for all events. Unfortunately for us though, Calcutta's are highly illegal here...

I'm not exactly sure, but I think the Greens Fee is $10 per player. It's small table action. It's pretty low entry fee, but with all the sidepots the pot will get pretty huge. Probably looking at a $2000+ first place pot which is pretty nice for an 8 & Under.

Tilting the Rack in One Pocket

If you watch the 4th rack where Parica is racking, he put the balls in the triangle and moves it in place and then you see him slightly tilt the rack a couple times. He then completely goes for the ball on the break and sells out the 12 ball. You would never hit the rack like that if you...
