    Leather wrap vs. Linen wrap?

I have sweaty palms, so I prefer them wrapless. :)

    open bridge

Interesting this got posted. I played with an open bridge for some years and never got much improvement. Recently a friend watching from the sides told me that my stroke sucks and when playing shots that require more english, I tend to miss the pockets by miles. On the last moment of releasing...

    Need advice on tip

Thank you guys for the good and quick advice. :) I narrowed it down to 2 choice, Kamui black soft or Moori soft. Hopefully after changing, my play cue will not feel like a break cue.

    Need advice on tip

Hi I just changed my tip on my 314 to Moori Q. It feels now like I am hitting with a steel rod or a rock. The hit feels too hard with not much feedback at all. Let a couple of friends tried and both said it;s way too hard, feels like a break cue with pheonic tip Is this the correct...

    Is your 'normal' stroke firm/medium/soft?

Hello My potting percentage is rather low. I hit slightly harder when playing 9 ball. But not more than neccessary to get shape. But I will still prefer to take a longer distance shot compared to running multiple rails to get perfect shape. When playing 8ball or 14.1, I will hit slightly softer.

    What Tip do you use?

I used to put on Moori Quick on my viking. But they mushroomed too fast. Changed to Triangle block tips and I like the way it feels and hits. Been using it for the past 2 years on my viking and predator.

Switching to a low deflection shaft, pros and cons?

Good question, i was thinking that too. I think i played better now because I made some changes to my stroke and try to improve a little on my fundamentals, ie smoother follow through and lesser jerking action from wrist. I would say the 314 shaft contributes roughly 30% improvement,( my...

I got drunk and dinged my shaft. What was the water trick?

I think the glass rod just even out the ding over a larger area. my 2 cents

Switching to a low deflection shaft, pros and cons?

I am a lurker here and first time posting. I got myself a 314^2 shaft early this year. Just want to add that it took me about 3 months to get used to the 314^2 shaft, and also the over runs on positions. I am cueing softer now and have a shorter follow through with my stroke. I hate playing...
