    Tell a Jersey Red story

I would like to hear some Jersey Red stories. Anybody got something? The man was deeply respected by the greatest players I know. I never had the pleasure of meeting Jack Breit though

    What's it worth? Cue blanks...

The bottom blank looks like a Tex Claus, or possibly a John Bender. The others are not so readily identifiable, at least not by me. If you want to do some trading, please send an email and we can discuss turning those blanks into something you CAN use.

    Pool cue vs. Carom Cue

Bob Ameen was a national champion 3 cushion player who used a pool cue. His was built by Mike Fedunca. I assume Boston shorty used a pool cue as well, though I have no direct knowledge of this. Shorty played strong billiards too. In 3c, the balls are larger and heavier. this tends to punish...

    Zamboni....Not Zamboti

If you're a rhythm player, some opponents will attack that with a deliberate slow style. If you're all about being fair and playing man to man, some will argue the rack or an issue about the score...anything to divert you from your game. They're just moves to get in your head. I like the OP's...

    WTB: Bill Schick Shaft 3/8 x 10

I know I've got one with a slight wobble, not sure if it is a little or a lot. Shaft is clean like new though. Ivo ferrule. I assume the tip is original though all I can say is that it has not been replaced while I owned it. I got the shaft in a trade deal with Joe Banks (bought both of his...

Anyone found your perfect Pool Cue Case yet?

Your point is well taken and I appreciate your point of view. To spend for ornamentation on something inherently used for practical purposes seems excessive. To deprive more noble causes of the potential charity OR to contribute to far less noble actions like killing animals or adorn a case...

Pat Diveney Cues...Bravo for making a totally class move!

Kind words guys, thank you, but in truth, my caring actions like giving up a room reservation to my man kickin chicken or doing a solid value trade with hang the 9 are inspired by larger acts such as the one I've written about in this thread. Pat Diveney inspires me to be a better man. Sharing...

Pat Diveney Cues...Bravo for making a totally class move!

I enjoy voting for the ACA fan favorite cue every year at the SBE event. This year there were some gorgeous cues and the rivalry between Tonkin and Jacoby cues raged on, pushing both to build bigger and better cues. The story of the final outcome however was far more about the second runner up...

    Congratulations: Gilbert Custom Cues!!!!!!!

    Fantastic Ash Shaft report

You called it Dean. I saw several of the bundles Eric brought to the expo. That grain is sooo straight and the wood is white as maple. I like the shaft I have that Paul Drexler made from Eric's stock. It really moves the ball well. It was cool to see Joel Hercek commenting favorably on what...

    Great Expo Party! Thanks Kenny

For yet another year Kenny Carfagno has hosted a gathering of collectors, cuemakers and others from our extended family of cue enthusiasts. I for one had a great time. Kevin- thanks so much for letting us take over the pool room for the night. Your event room made for a great place to enjoy...

Autographed Camel Pro Series Limited Edition Billiard Set

The Camel 9 is signed by Mizerak This collectable includes a signed ball by Jim Rempe...very rare. Jimmy has one of these sets himself and was asking more than twice this cost ($1500) but decided to keep it instead. Sets like this don't come around too often. Nice item

    great ash shaft

I picked up one of these shafts and would definitely agree, the quality is very high. The grain is super straight, lines very tight and the wood is pure white. I played with a shaft Paul Drexler turned from one of Eric's blanks and at first I didn't realize it was ash. Great draw power...
