    Bottom heavy cue

I have a 90s era McDermott cue with an extension that I leave on full time - and I really like it that way except when I shoot the CB close to the rail and I use an open bridge. I have removed the weight bolt and the overall weight is pretty close to what the cue used to be with the weight bolt...

Would love to buy a diamond pool ball cleaner

Yah I don't know about that price. I hear that they're not actually made with real diamonds.

    Pocket nail head protection

How long have the pads been in place? I'd be concerned that they might not stick to the plastic pockets for very long. If they do, it looks like a great affordable solution to a very common problem. I could never understand that some table manufacturers design tables with pockets attached by...

Take all of the weight out of your break cue

A friend of mine who's a local table mechanic was selling various cues made by Mike Gulyassy - the creator of the Sledgehammer jump/break cue. One day he showed up with quite a few break cues for sale. I was able to try out a number of Orange Crusher break cues in different weights. They were...

    Pro Cut Pockets

I think this question belongs in the Talk To A Mechanic forum. A few years ago, I went on the Diamond factory tour with Greg Sullivan and I remember him saying that when Diamond's standard pocket opening is modified the angle must also be modified. I don't imagine that comes free.

Why do people suck so bad at taking pictures of pool cues?

Here's an exception... Bob Dzuricky may be as good a photographer as he is a cue builder. https://www.dzcues.com/finished_cues.html

It's been a couple of years since this thread has been active, but it's still relevant, so BUMP!

Lesser penalty than BIH for fouling?

I appreciate that you included the rules that you used. They are very helpful. I see no mention of fouling except in a few specific situations. Is that because the penalty is not specific to Alabama and instead falls under standard 8-ball rules (ball in hand for current WPA rules)?

    Any McDermott Cue Players?

My everyday player is a McDermott that I bought new in the 90s. If I remember correctly, it cost about $325. The most amazing thing about it is that the finish looks brand new - AFTER ABOUT 30 YEARS!

Brunswick gold crown 7 video ..everything new walk through from the expo!

Will the GC7 be made in the USA and shipped almost completely assembled like a Diamond? Some years ago an experienced local table mechanic setup a new pool room with all new Brunswick tables and told me that they received boxes from different parts of the world and everything had to be...

New pool training app just launched

From the photo and description, I've concluded it's a material (not paper) called interfacing used in sewing to add stiffness to a fabric. It is either identical or very similar to the material used for rack templates. I made a few test samples using one of the thinner versions and a thicker...

Lesser penalty than BIH for fouling?

There are situations where forcing CB in the kitchen makes it more difficult for the next player. Did the next player have the choice of CB in kitchen or playing it where it lies?

I see now that it's not a tab, but it's under the menu structure. Just terminology I guess.
