Parallel vs BHE vs tuck and roll vs "intuitive" English vs whatever else you use.

You are the only one talking about speeding up. I am talking about speed in general to move the cue ball around the table. Spin creates that speed more so than just brute force hit. Can you not answer the question about where you hit the cue ball for running english?

Parallel vs BHE vs tuck and roll vs "intuitive" English vs whatever else you use.

I would really have to show you on a pool table. I'll ask you the same question what position on your cue ball is "running english." If you have to get the cue ball around 3 or 4 rails do you use spin or just brute force to create speed?

If what I am talking about works with vertical spin, wouldn't it stand to reason that it also works with "turn" spin? Take it to the table & you will see what I mean.

What position on the cue ball do you hit when using "running english."

Think draw and follow while hitting straight in on an object ball. The gear(s) you use creates speed.

When you say angle are you talking cue elevation? The more you get the cue ball turning the more speed is created.

    Predator 314-3 silencer pad question

Depends on who you talk to at Predator. I have had no luck with one rep & another took care of me. All that doesn't change their policies on the minimum thickness their V-Tek Silencer pad can be for warranty purposes.

Parallel vs BHE vs tuck and roll vs "intuitive" English vs whatever else you use.

Forget parallel english, forget BHE, FHE & most definitely forget any kind of swooping motion. First learn where center ball tangent takes you. Then learn where each tip position up, down & all around on the cueball makes whitey go. Setup to that position & cue straight through. For the...

    44 Breaks & Only 3 Chances

Rack the balls, break the balls. Take ball in hand to attempt the runout. Read carefully what 9BallKY said in the above post. Take advantage of the runout when it presents itself. Learn how to duck until that happens. Remember, It's not the table or any of it's components. It's not the...

    Tips For This Shot

Start with your tip on the cloth & then move up a bit from there. Remember you are hitting the cue ball with the top portion of the tip. Don't try to follow through too far. Chalk, chalk, chalk!!

How far away does the cue and OB have to be away from each other for it not to be a double hit?

What type of league are you playing? Every league is governed by a set of rules - learn then and play by them. If you are playing the shot head on according to your description, upon contact of the object ball the cue ball must break back towards you. Any forward movement of the cue ball...

Things to consider for those forum members buying their first pool cue

I generally aim to not use added weight at all. Out of my 4 other playing cues 3 of them can't accept any weight & the other doesn't have much. On this cue, which is my grab and go cue I made a huge exception.

Things to consider for those forum members buying their first pool cue

You beat me to the exact same message. I have a Joss cue with a two ounce weight bolt installed. The bottom of the set screw sits approximately 4 inches up the from the back of the buttcap. The butt weighs 15.25 ounces. I have had shafts on the cue that weigh from 3.2 - 4.2 ounces. I...

Yapp winning, with a foul! Just like Maradona making a goal with his hands :D

Along with a referee at the table I would suggest another rules official monitoring the live broadcast for potential rules infractions. Of course this can't be done at all tables, but would be of great use imo as the field winds down.

8 Ball Break - Hitting the 2nd Ball

I will drop a bit of wisdom your way. There is not much of a difference between a good head ball break and a bad one. The good one makes a ball, the bad one doesn't. Either you run out of your opponent does. Now a good 2nd ball break not only makes a ball, but opens the table up for an...
