Transporting Pool Tables Slates During Table Break Down and Move

Hey guys! So, the move went well! Brunswick Heirloom 9ft table into a Dodge Grand Caravan. Pretty much identical to TrevorB's experience above. The slates were stacked, moving blanket and cardboard box flattened out between each one. I made sure that the bed of the minivan was level first, as...

1970's/80's Brunswick Tables - Can be the Base Frame be Disassembled???

Hey guys! An update for those interested, or anyone in the future doing a Google search for the Brunswick Heirloom table and needing, as I did, some advice on dismantling. So, all went really well on collection day. The base does indeed fully (and easily!!) dismantle. There are no sections...

What makes a Worsted cloth Worsted?

So it's more about the weave type than the wool content %?

What makes a Worsted cloth Worsted?

Hi guys Maybe this is an obvious question, but... What makes a Worsted cloth Worsted? Is it just the type of weave, or it it the % of wool mix, or something else? Can you physically tell by looking at a cloth whether it is Worsted or not?

1970's/80's Brunswick Tables - Can be the Base Frame be Disassembled???

Hey chevybob20, does that mean that it was moved (for you) with base frame assembled? It seems to be that they were shipped from the factory assembled for (almost!) sure, but interested (need!) to know if it can be disassembled?

1970's/80's Brunswick Tables - Can be the Base Frame be Disassembled???

Hey guys! Need some help! Planning on collecting a late 1970's Brunswick Heirloom table tomorrow. :) HOWEVER, I found the original instruction manual online for constructing the HERITAGE (not Heirloom) and it says step one is to remove the base frame from the carton, literally the whole base...

1970's/80's Brunswick Tables - Can be the Base Frame be Disassembled???

The legs are hollow and they bolt on to the base frame itself. Agree that shipping them already constructed all around the country seems like madness, but it does say: https://brunswick.pastperfectonline.com/library/4444EA7E-4118-4E55-99BF-712822186511 It says: "Base frame is assembled and...

1970's/80's Brunswick Tables - Can be the Base Frame be Disassembled???

I found a good image online of the Heirloom frame: https://dkbilliards.com/2011/05/nine-foot-brunswick-move-recushion-rancho-cucamonga/#iLightbox[gallery-1]/2 This is when a professional moving company moved one. They moved the frame complete, because they could, and have an open flatbed...

    Heirloom Model:FP, OS 8ft

Hey bigpapa. Sorry to bring this post back to life, but I'm looking at one of these Brunswick Heirloom tables too. One question: the base frame. Hey Trevor! Was yours a 9 foot table, and can I ask roughly how heavy do you think each slate was (1 inch thickness?) Was carrying them really tough work, or were you able to use a dolly at all? It seems that the slates are by far the hardest bit!!! Anyone else know the approx weight for a 1...

What type of Beeswax for slate joint sealing?

Yes, I like the sound of the Bondo method. But the table was definitely waxed previously, and concerned I won't get a Good bond due to this :(
