🎱 What’d seller do to auction four $25 cues for $180 (works out to $45 each)? 🎱

I think it helped that seller started bid at 99 cents. All cues had cases, albeit cheap flat ones. Cues looked okay and not beat up. Still, pretty unremarkable for that much money. Was one of the cues actually a valuable cue?

Worth $30 to Change Cue Tip?

The Kamui Athlete medium tip you preferred for your Revo over the Kamui Black medium tip is supposed to be designed for carbon fiber shafts. It makes sense the Athlete medium was not as hard since the Athlete has soft layers on top and hard layers on the bottom. From PoolDawg's description of...

I looked at your AZ posts --- no review on re-tipping a Revo. Can you post your review?

Worth $30 to Change Cue Tip?

No, unless you positively cannot stand a soft tip. Then replace the Predator Victory soft tip with a Kamui clear Black hard or go nuts with synthetic Bulletproof Recoil player-shaft pool tip. See https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/new-bulletproof-synthetic-playing-tips.567535...

    Corey Duel's sleeve device

There are a few Sleeves left. I got one by filling out a contact form on their website. In response, they phoned me hours later on a Sunday and told me they have a few, only a few, in stock. That is service. I got one ordered. I'm putting it on a 10.5mm shaft and, therefore, may not be...

For the guys who play with glasses

No, I have not tried them. That is the best option economically to try out billiard glasses. A Japanese outfit sells glasses that lets you move regular glasses up at your nose bridge to see during pool. Probably similar to what you posted but with expensive frames. See...

Can anyone help me identify this cue stick before I put on eBay auction to sell?

Is Kielwood Shaft relly low deflection?

I agree. Whatever money you lost, figure its like the cost of a rental of an interesting new type of shaft and is the cost of a valuable experience to share with others. Report your results here.

    tip trouble

Could Catalin be right and wrong? Maybe hardness is not at fault but it so happens that its sometimes harder to chalk a hard tip than a soft tip? And so, that's why more miscues with hard than soft tip? Or might there be some other reason players find more miscues with a hard tip than a soft...

    Corey Duel's sleeve device

The Sleeve is out of stock at the only vendors I could find: PoolDawg and Billiard Engineering (the company that introduced it). Billiard Engineering is having a 40% off sale ($18 instead of $30) and this may have caused shortage. Other info: Reddit comment: Also, when the ball is on the...

    Dead Blow Cue

Regarding why McDermott's carbon-fiber Defy shaft (certainly its first generation shaft) did not bounce when dropped on table while other carbon-fiber shafts did? And why that shaft has a different and softer hit than other carbon fiber shafts? Kling&Allen explained in his 2022 post copied...

CF-Wood combo butts w. carbon fiber and wood either on inside or outside: Konllen & Healing

Its good the Chinese are innovating. Granted, the butt does not seem to be the place for exciting innovation. These minor things may make for improvement Look at the popularity of the shafts made of both carbon fiber and wood. There may just be something there that makes a better cue stick.
