Better equipment, shafts, Tips, and Kamui Chalk, but the 526 RUN RECORDS Stands?

Hey Dr 9 Ball, I recall George Rood telling me that he owned the place where the 526 Run happened & it was on an 8 foot Table. Can you verify that..?

how are ya'll doing in league ?

I played with lots of cues in my day & I liked my Pechauer. It is a good Tool. But, I now have a Guido Orlandi Conical Joint Cue . IMHO it is superior to everything out there. But.... it has a SUPER Joint, a LD Shaft & Cork Grip. It's a precision Instrument, not just a jointed Stick.

Is it possible to throw an object ball? Nope

Thanks Dr Dave. I've been throwing balls since I was 14, that is 62 years ago. The instructional video I bought some years ago, by Robert Byrne had this particular science demonstrated & I was amazed, so I learned it, even after playing Pool for 50 years. You never quit learning. Before the...

Table Difficulty Factor (TDF) for measuring table "toughness"

We just had our Snooker Table (for golf) recovered with 860 Simonis. It is slow, slow, slow. I don't know what the old cloth was, but someone said it was Gorina. Anybody got an idea of what's better than Simonis 860 for speed.

    Sad story,game went to pot

When I start missing balls, that I normally make without much ado, I realize my mental picture has gone bad. So, I start looking at the Shot Line, then doing a slight side step to the left & BINGO, I'm on again. Wearing glasses can cause anybody problems... because of the refraction, the glasses...

Controlled 9-Ball Break - Playing Position for the One Ball

Here is a layout from the book titled, "The GREAT Break Shot". It is a 180 page book on the Break Shot, in all the games we play. This particular shot will leave the 1 ball close to the corner pocket. If you have parked Whitey in the middle of the table, & you don't get hooked, you will have a shot.

is the break the most difficult shot in pool?

So Ralf learned his game with 10 years of 8 hour practice & NOW HE MAINTAINS HIS GAME AS NEEDED WITH WARMUPS...Great Idea.... But there are only a 100 players world wide, that can do that. That means there are millions that could play better, with a practice regimen. My point exactly.& we all...

is the break the most difficult shot in pool?

Let me say a few things about this statement. We go into lots of Pool Rooms & the one thing we never see is anyone practicing. This has to be a phenomenon, because practice is the only way to get better at the game. Yes, a small percentage of people have Pool Tables in there homes, but even...

    Wonky elbow

That is precisely the reason we made that sketch. I play with a 58 inch cue that has a 4 inch extension, made by Guido Orlandi. You might get someone to assist you in setting up your address, to develop your prescribed Cue Stick Length & see what you come up with. I never believed that Cues...

    Wonky elbow

Actually, I thought it was a good response. A video would clearly show what is happening in your stroke. The fact that many will give you their unqualified opinion is the humor in the endeavor. My Partner & I have been giving Video Analysis lessons for the last 7 years at the big tournaments...

is the break the most difficult shot in pool?

the break shot Efren is shown using a BreakRAK on YouTube.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mm6EyYDEGvo Finding a used BreakRAK is tough, that's because players like it & learn from it. I've made thousands, but you can't hardly find one. Rodney Morris said players won't even talk about the...

is the break the most difficult shot in pool?

It seems that the Breaker is favored by a slight margin, but if you look closer, you'll see that not many have a Strong Break, that's similar to Van Boening's, That's because players don't practice the Break Shot.
